Con In An Instant

AnimeNext 2016 was a blast! Shared some Polaroids with cosplayers, now I can share some pictures with you! 

Wow, so the timing on this is way off. I apologize, couple of updates. First, PICTURES!

Not many cosplayers were out and about, and I wish I could have done a better job with my pictures, but the cosplayers overall seemed pleased with their prints.

Anime Fan Fest! We’re ready for action! I got at least 60 prints for all the amazing cosplayers tomorrow! If you see me get your picture snapped!

If its your first time being introduced to the project, the idea is simple, instant photos at a convention. No waiting to maybe see photos of your cosplay online. Instant gratification!

I started this project last year and has some moderate success with it, however I had a big glaring oversight, I had nothing to show the blog since I was giving pictures away. 

But, I have a new plan! 

First up the new tools:

Not only do the quality of the photos go up, but now I can share pictures with you guys and have the option of choosing from a bunch of pictures to print as Polaroids!

Now a tentative list of cons I plan to go to:

Sakura Matsuri - April 30th (Not a con but I’m doing tests there and there will be cosplayers)

Anime Fan Fest - May 6th - 8th

AnimeNext - June 10th -12th

Liberty City Anime Con - Aug 19th - Aug 21st

Trying to add more cons as the months go by but looks like I have four solid months of content. Woo! 

So, its about that time to start planning for the next project, I kind of went into AnimeNext with too much emphasis on trying to do things on the fly as opposed to having concrete ideas for execution. An amazing re-post from versecosplay definitely did a lot to boost my confidence for the project and even though it was a blast for me, I feel like I was too all over the place and didn't have much in terms of content for the page itself.

All this to led into changes for Con Instantly at the next con, Liberty City Anime Con in White Plains, NY which is in its first year. Woohoo! 

Firstly, I’ll strictly keep all updates to Tumblr, trying to juggle all those social networks and enjoy a con got old real fast, plus I could imagine it’d be a nightmare to keep up with as well. 

Second, I’m going to try to invite more people to post the pictures I take themselves. Probably make some business cards and hand them out with the pictures. 

Third, I might look into investing in some equipment and scheduling shoots to give me more control over how the picture comes out in the moment but then again that's the thrill of it. What I did realize during AnimeNext though is that keeping things quick and easy is ideal. I guess I’ll debate over the approach in the coming weeks.
