His question lifted her smile to the brightest it had been in a while as she turned her head to him, eyes exited and eager.

“I love rabbits- actually… there’s someone I’d like you to meet. She’s been here for… a long time now. I hope that’s alright- wait right here!”

She hadn’t waited for a response before she quickly hurried out of the room. Eveen hadn’t been gone for a minute before her gentle footsteps could be heard padding back to his room.

Her smile was the same, but in her arms there was a large white rabbit, curiously twitching her nose at the new sent in the room. Eve walked over to the bed, sitting down as she gently lay the bunny in her lap where she stroked her a few times.

She looked at CC again, patting the space beside her.

“She’s okay to pet and doesn’t bite… I promise!”

Introducing him to her bunny seemed to be a better idea than overwhelming him with the rest of the introductions that night. Rabbits didn’t tend to put much pressure on anyone unless they were hungry. At any rate, this rabbit appeared to be quite relaxed despite being handled like a toddler just a few moments ago.

He blinked in confusion as she suddenly ran out of the room. He guessed she really did like rabbits then. Huh. He supposed that explained the question in the first place. CC just waited for her to return, not having moved away from the spot he was standing in. When Eveen did finally returned, there was a little white fluff in her arms. It actually took him a second to realize it was an animal, let alone a rabbit. He hadn’t pictured a white rabbit like the one she was holding. Just the wild ones that tended to have brownish fur.

“This is Wiggles.”

She scooted bit closer to him so that their thighs touched in order to pet Wiggles a bit more, she didn’t seem to notice the proximity as she busied herself with loving her rabbit.

“She’s so sweet, and my best friend. You can take her out of her cage at any time if you’re feeling a bit lonely- as long as you’re gentle no one will mind”

Eveen remained quiet for a while, calmly petting Wiggles as she became lost in her thoughts, having run out of things to say. Eve bent down to give Wiggles a kiss before sitting up again and placing her hands on her lap as she stared straight ahead.
