June is Pride month. Be proud of who you are.
PSA
Most people think being bi means that you like girls and boys both equally, both romantically and sexually. But thatâs not the case for everyone.
There are bi people who lean way more to one side than the other. There are bi people who experience sexual attraction to some genders and romantic attraction to others. There are bi people whose sexuality fluctuates. There are bi people who become fixated on one gender depending on their love interest. There are demisexual bisexuals, there are ace and aro bisexuals.
Not all bi people experience the same kind of attraction to each gender equally. Weâre still valid and weâre still bi.
Experience #7
The first time I had sex with a girl was just after I turned eighteen. I remember the planning. The excitement. The expectations. I remember  asking a friend of mine for a condom because I was too nervous to go and buy a pack.
So the day came. It was Halloween, and I was armed with a Lifestyles blue condom!  We were both making out on her living room couch (it was a weekday, so no one was home.) and things were heating up. We both kept asking if we were ready for this. After a couple of times saying âyesâ, we both got up and started to take our clothes off. We had already seen each other naked before so we werenât shy. The nerves were for what was about to happen.
I lied her down on the carpet, since I didnât want to make a mess on her couch. I gently rolled the condom on and proceeded to mount her missionary style. The sudden fear of accidentally trying to deflower her belly button passed through my head-- but thankfully that didnât happen! As we got into it, the slight discomfort for her ( yes, her first time as well) began to subside a bit as I began to figure out a rhythm.Â
âHoly fuck, Iâm doing this,â is what I was thinking. I kept looking down at my dick going in , just to make sure this was real. It didnât last too long, but it was nice. And, it was a let down. Not because of the person I was with or anything. It was because it was totally different from what my mind made sex out to be. It wasnât like I was turned off by it. I tend to believe that practice makes perfect.
In the end, I asked her countless times that day if I hurt her at all and she assured me she was all right. She then went to wipe herself with a tissue and showed me some blood.
 She laughed. I passed out.
Pansexual and Bisexual Identification cards! Theyâre pretty easy to make, so if you want more (Polysexual and Homosexual Cards are in the making, for instance) just ask! Pansexual Bisexual

The short, monumental existence of a queer rock star and the history of HIV are all wrapped up in one fascinating new rock biography.
This is quite interesting. I was lead to believe that he contracted the disease around 1985-86. So he might have had signs of his illness as far back as 1982? Such a shame that such a talented artist was taken away from us so soon. Unfortunately, he should've been more careful and less promiscuous.
Bisexuality comes in many shades. Theyâre all valid. With love, Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Bi-Positive.
Rep. Tom Price, who has opposed LGBT nondiscrimination laws, would be tasked with enforcing nondiscrimination policies in health care.
Minority President-elect Donald Trump is on a quest to fill his Cabinet with as many hateful, destructive people as possible. His pick for Secretary of Health and Human Services is no exception: meet Rep. Tom Price.Â
A representative from Georgia, Tom Price has made his positions on a variety of healthcare issues loud and clear. He wants to completely repeal the Affordable Care Act, and he has a long track record of opposing LGBT equality (and specifically transgender rights). Hereâs a sampling of his track record on health issues as well as other social and political issues, via ontheissues.org:
-Voted YES on banning federal health coverage that includes abortion -Voted NO on reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act -Voted NO on giving mental health full equity with physical health -Voted NO on prohibiting job discrimination based on sexual orientation -Voted YES on constitutionally defining marriage as one-man-one-woman -Voted NO on enforcing against anti-gay hate crimes -Voted NO on $84 million in grants for Black and Hispanic colleges -Voted NO on four weeks of paid parental leave for federal employees -Voted YES on barring EPA from regulating greenhouse gases -Voted NO on tax incentives for energy production and conservation -Voted YES on requiring photo ID for voting in federal elections -Voted YES on prohibiting product misuse lawsuits on gun manufacturers -Voted YES on allowing electronic surveillance without a warrant -Voted YES on terminating funding for National Public Radio
So, thatâs what weâre working with now. This is the person who will be running our health department. This is our new reality. Holy hell.Â
Another asshole. Terrific.

Truth:
1) This song used to annoy the shit out of me.
2) The video used to haunt me so I would flip the channel.Â
In reality, the lyrics are truthful. Â I was still hiding from myself back in 2002 when this came out. I watched this video again after watching Soundbreaking on PBS. I didnât know that Linda Perry wrote this (kind of missed the boat on that bit of information!). It was fascinating to see how she got Christina Aguilera to sound so honest and stopped her before she could over sing it. Â Now I truly understood its meaning and I felt it with tears running down my eyes while re watching the video. Sometimes you search for things that have been already revealed to you in plain sight. Sometimes vulnerability can strengthen you and be your saving grace.
Experience #6
When I was eleven years old, my best friend witnessed a couple of bullies harassing me. They were calling me a faggot and a bunch of other things and was really upsetting me. Being shy and introverted, I felt helpless and I sure as hell did not have the guts at the time to stand up for myself. so my friend intervened and told them all to fuck off and they did.
After school I went over to his house. This was a normal occurrence. While we were hanging out, I told him that I was afraid that they were right and that maybe I was gay. This was a huge anxiety issue for me. My friend reassured me that I was fine.Â
âYouâre just saying that.â I told him.
He decided he was going to prove it. He started to undress in front of me, right down to his underwear.Â
âWhat are you doing?â I asked.
âProving you ainât gay.â He said.
I was getting embarrassed and told him to stop. He removed his underwear and stood before me completely naked. He posed for a second like Superman and asked me to look at him. I was very nervous, but intrigued. He hadn't begun puberty yet so he was pretty much hairless. He pranced around and even shook his ass at me. He kept telling me that I wasnât gay. Somehow we got into wrestling and fell to the floor. I was fully clothed and he was naked. As I tried to position myself, my hand grazed his bare butt which felt weird, since, Iâve never touched anyone else before. I apologized, but he said it was ok.Â
He got up and I noticed he had a boner. I looked at him and he looked at me and we both laughed. I told him to stop being naughty and he said,âspank me.â I gave him a couple quick slaps on his bare bottom, not realizing that it was turning him on. We giggled some more which started to ease the tension.Â
As he stood there with his boner, he smiled at me and said to get naked along with him. At first, I was reluctant but then I decided to go for it and stripped down. By this point, I was also boning up from the excitement. To his amazement, I had started puberty and began to sprout pubic hair, much to his fascination. Things got more intense.
âWow! Is it weird having hair down there?â He asked.
âI dunno, feels ok.â I said.
âCan I touch the hair?â He asked curiously.
âOk.â I hesitated.
He ran his fingers across my pubes as if almost fanning them through. The feeling was exciting, although this fear of someone coming home and catching us was flashing through my mind. He then got closer and started to move his dick next to mine, making contact.
âWait, this is sort of gay?â I protested. âI thought..â
âShush. Our secret okay?â He answered smiling enthusiastically .Â
It felt strange to have my friends pre-pubescent boner sword fighting with my pubescent one. For a few minutes, the question on both our minds were waiting to ask sat in the air around us. Then, he asked first.
âCan I touch your dick?â
âI was going to ask you the same thing.â
âI guess it okay then!â He said.
We both reached out and felt each othersâ dicks. This was the first dick other than my own that i was touching and secretly, I was enjoying it as much as he was. We played with each other for a few minutes and then we had to stop because his older brother was to be coming home soon.
âYouâre not gonna say nothing right?â He said.
âOf course not!â I answered.
âThis was sort of fun. Maybe weâll do this again when no oneâs home.â He said.
Looking back, I was completely naive to his seduction.Â

Experience #5
I was sixteen years old and I just started my first job. About a couple months in, I was starting to change my appearance. Different clothes, different hair. I was getting into more darker musical tastes--I was becoming goth.Â
So this cute short haired brunette started coming by my work with her mom. I caught her looking at me, but being shy, didnât exactly pursue it. One day, a fellow co worker of mine slipped me a note and told me it was from her. The note had her name and phone number on it. Call me!
So, after about a day, I decided to try calling the number. I still wasnât sure if it was real or if my co workers were playing a prank on me. The phone rang a couple times and an older woman answered. I asked for the girl who left me the note and she called her over to the phone. This girl had a really sweet voice and had told me about how sheâd seen me at work over that summer a handful of times and wanted to talk to me.Â
So after talking a bit, I got the courage to ask her to meet me somewhere so that we could talk more. We agreed to meet outside the mall where I worked and we would take it from there.Â
I was nervous as hell that afternoon. I made sure I looked my best and everything. She showed up wearing cut off shorts rolled up at the knee. A white Cure t shirt and a small black fedora. She looked fucking adorable!
We started to walk around, talking about the usual teenager stuff--music, movies, hobbies. She listened intently as I talked about my love for post punk music and my interpretations of lyrics from various bands. It felt so natural to talk to her this way. It was liberating.
We sat in the park for a while and continued talking. She gazed in my eyes and her smile made me smile. As we got up from the park bench, I asked if we could hold hands. She agreed and her touch made me feel like a god. I never held a girlâs hand before. Walking through the park, I couldnât help but be like âLook at me, bitches.â
As we finished our âdateâ, we made plans to call each other and get together again, maybe by her house or out to dinner. Before leaving, we smiled at each other by the train tracks. I had thanked her for a wonderful time and was starting to pull away when she stopped me. She pulled me in and then proceeded to give me a long, wet, tongue in mouth kiss-- to the likes that this young man had not experienced in his life. It was intoxicating, so much that i came back for a second round.
The taste of strawberry lip gloss permeated my lips for a few days as the excitement of kissing a girl slowly sank into reality.Â

Being Bi
It took me years to wrap my head around this.Â
Itâs not a âphaseâ.Â
Itâs not being indecisive.Â
It doesnât have specific guidelines.Â
Thereâs no right/wrong, black/white.
Bisexuality is real and there is no shame in it. The only standards are the one the persons themselves allow. Iâve come out to a few people close to me over time and Iâm much happier. I came to terms with my bisexuality about four years ago and Iâm glad I accepted it. Do I feel I need to post a billboard? No. That doesnât stop me from supporting friends who want to do that.Â
I knew a family member who stayed in the closet for his entire life and only after he died did my father, the only person he told, reveal his secret. I always thought that was a shame. I encouraged a girl I once worked with to come out because she was so miserable hiding it and now sheâs happily engaged to her girlfriend. I did not want her going through the rest of her life living a lie.
I myself have been in a long term straight relationship and my fiancee knows Iâm bi and totally accepts it. Iâve had same sex experiences in the past, some Iâve already written about. For years I felt scared and ashamed about them. Now, I donât feel that there was anything wrong with them.
Be yourself no matter what. Come out to a million people, or come out to yourself. In the end, youâll be a much happier person.
HAPPY NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY! Here are some important things to remember about coming out:
You are valid and real, whether or not youâre out! Take your time. Youâll be ready when youâre ready. You are already good enough and you enough, no matter how âoutâ you are to the world.
You do not have to come out until you are ready! And only you can decide when that is, if it happens at all. Itâs up to you and you alone to decide when you feel safe and comfortable enough to come out; itâs not anybody elseâs choice to make for you. Speaking of whichâŚ
âŚYou donât get to decide when itâs time for someone else to come out â and you especially donât have the right to out them! Coming out is one of the most personal decisions someone can make. Let them make it.Â
You can come out as many or as few times as you want! Did/does your identity change over time? Cool! You can update people as you go, or you can not; itâs your call. Meet somebody new who doesnât know your identity? Up to you to decide whether to tell them!Â
Thereâs no one right way to come out! Face to face? In a letter? Via a relationship? With a cake? Whatever works! Do it your way.Â
Finally: Sometimes coming out is easy, and other times itâs really hard. Either way, there are so many people in the world who are rooting for you and who love you and who are here for you. So many!Â
Eight-ish years ago, I came out as bi. It has not always been easy, but it has always been worth it. I love you. Youâre perfect. Have an amazing day.

National Coming Out day
Shout out to those who came out.
Shout out to those who came out and were shunned by those closest to them for just being who they are.
Shout out to those who came out and were forced back into the closet.
Shout out to those who couldnât come out.
Shout out to those who arenât ready to come out.
Shout out to those who are too afraid to come out.
Shout out to those who were forced into coming out.
Shout out to those who were outed by someone they trusted.
Shout out to those who must keep quiet on this day.
Shout out to those who didnât come out.
Iâm so, so proud of you.
You are valid. You have the right to keep your private life private. You are NOT obligated to come out if you are uncomfortable. You are NOT obligated to be transparent to family or friends. You are NOT obligated to risk your safety to be âbraveâ. You are NOT lying. You are NOT cowardly.
This is personal. This is YOUR decision. No one has the right to tell you or make you feel otherwise about how to be who you are.
Your survival and sanity should come before compliance, and thatâs OK.
You are who you are. Youâre OK. Youâll be OK.
Just stay safe and stay strong.
I think the way bisexuals experience the world is often pretty different to gay, lesbian, and straight people. Â I donât think its harmful to acknowledge that. Â
