      Gunwoo had been at work for a little over twelve hours now. He was going to pass out at his desk if he wasn’t careful and he couldn’t risk it considering the last time he fell asleep, he woke up with half of his head shaved and a lot of insults directed at the captain in sharpie that took nearly four days to completely come off. That was the first and only time the department had caught him with his guard down. He wasn’t going to be made a fool of again. But if he didn’t find something to keep him going soon, he would lose it. Gunwoo sighed, leaning back in his chair and reached into his back pocket for his phone. An idea had struck him. Over the past few weeks, after a night out with Wonchul and Ares, he’d met someone. A few drinks in and they’d definitely hit it off. A little flirting and dancing, and exchanged numbers and now Gunwoo had been chatting with them everyday. It was late but they could prove to be the perfect distraction while he kept an ear on the phone tap.

              Yerin’s a night owl. She lives, works and exist fully in the night while during days she isn’t capable of boiling hot water for instant ramen even. Day’s for sleeping, Yerin likes to say, as she spends her whole nights at club ( or hotels ) working her ass of. But the whole switched up lifestyle is a thing she’s used to by now. A thing she prefers, a thing unchangeable in her eyes. When the phone makes beeping sounds for the next fifteen minutes it is completely ignored by the woman, she can barely hear own thoughts through loud music and non-stop chatting which comes from every direction until she heads for the toilets. Re-applying mascara along with powder and highlighter, lipstick on plump lips — doing her whole face as she is wondering why hasn’t Gunwoo messaged her, yet.        ( oh god, did i forget to reply ?! ) Flickers in her mind and hand reaches into pocket of jeans, hunting phone that as if on purpose gets stuck thanks to the tightness of her jeans. But it doesn’t last long and it finally gives in — joyous smile sits on soft features.

  Yeonsoo’s touch felt comforting; they weren’t together, there might not ever be a together in that way and yet, they had a together; Minki. It seemed so cliche – in a good way – that a pair of tiny feet changed his life upside down but Matthew was thankful. However, his enthusiasm might have been too much for the young mother at times as he always had plenty whereas she didn’t. The male grimaced and lowered his head. “A bunch actually? Not that many, don’t worry. You wouldn’t look bad, we can say it’s from both of us? That you helped me pick?” Which wasn’t that far from the truth or why else would the young CEO have asked her so many times about what their son liked or might be useful for him. “Or how about I show you what I got and you pick what Minki can keep. The rest goes to the orphanage. And … I got something for you, too.”
