My unsolicited advice to you might be to get more involved in real world local politics and activism, particularly grassroots movements…. I will say though… there’s some orgs I might avoid… but it is always a good idea to find out what suits your interests the best because I shoudlnt be so authoritarian and tell you “join this specific org”… but I will warn you about my personal experiences with some of the orgs in the area…. PSL is kind of culty and vaguely bourgeois because how do they manage to put on so many social events and even parties just for fun??? I mean their protest are HUGE but idfk what they’re even accomplishing… genuinely what’s a thousand people marching around the civic plaza gonna achieve for us besides PSL getting more recognition (they really do not have a goal of actual progress in mind..) … DSA is always getting called too liberal and actually idk much about them but it seems to be true from what I’ve seen which is nothing…so….. RCP is VERY culty + they’re like trotskyists or revisionist Marxists or something meaning all they do is read theory and wait around for something to happen… there’s a couple other orgs floating around abq, most of them hardly accomplish any genuine social change unfortunately. The org I am currently with does seem to be making a positive impact and we honestly have seen some visible progress due to our militant efforts. I shouldn’t give away the name of the org on social media however… so I do invite you to do a little research yourself and find what floats your boat!! & Sorry about the completely uncalled for political advice lmao. Hope to see you around perhaps and try to keep up that revolutionary optimism!! it’s rough out there… (I have unfortunately become incredibly jaded as a result of my experience as an activist. Please never let anyone dim that fighting spirit!!)
