In Japanese, they don’t say “moon,” they say “tsuki,” which literally translates to “moon,” and I think that’s how language works.

That one spider in the corner of your room:
Away from all my usual ranting I assembled my first warhammer minis today ^_^ They're a sweet little bundle of Skitarii and im very excited to paint them
@funnier-when-objectum
I wish we could have more characters in media that are non/alter/demihuman and/or feel nonhuman but instead of going on this life changing, emotional journey of finding their humanity and blah, blah, blah... they instead find pride in who they are.
They don't need to be or feel human to prove their kindness, faithfulness, trustworthiness, generosity, mercy, openness, love and all that we deem good and precious.
And neither should you, because you being you on default makes you a valuable member of this planet 💗

beep boop . fans go whirrr. blinking light on my casing. hard drive like chk chchhk. you understand, yes? reblog .whirrrrrrrrrr
fake ass robot lovers everywhere i go im so tired boss
To add to or maybe branch off from the puppyposting discussion, I wanted to bring up something that's pretty specific to machine identity spaces, and I think anybody that's been there for more than a minute will know exactly what I mean when I say...
The hornyposting.
And like, I get it. There's always been attraction to the artificial and the created. Objectum folks are cool as hell. Robots appeal to so many different kinks. I am absolutely not trying to shame anybody's sexuality here. I want to make it abundantly clear that I understand why it happens.
But it is really, really uncomfortable when it's tagged with community terms like robotkin, it's not at all tagged as being sexual, and it's extremely off-putting to find more robotkin hornyposting than I can find robotkin discussions. I'm already trans, y'all, I get objectified and fetishized enough without this identity being subjected to it too.
It's extra complicated because a lot of the hornyposting is done by trans women, and I know that. They have every right to reclaim their sexuality however the hell they want. Where it gets hazy is when it's people only ever hornyposting about trans fem robotgirls. Is this just your thing online but you're actually normal about trans women/are one yourself? Or are you objectifying and dehumanizing them (in the shitty way, please don't come in like, "maybe they want to be nonhuman objects" because that isn't what I mean)? I don't know but I do know it's in the tags and it's kinda skeeving me out as a trans observer because I can't tell the intent much of the time and I'm literally left unable to tell if the tags are full of transphobia or not. This is possibly just a me problem, but it is a problem still.
It's very much like puppyposting in that there's nothing essentially wrong with it, but it's still kind of becoming an issue that bears discussion. I've had a robotkin meme post take off and do numbers, and someone along the way took it and reinterpreted it as a force fem robotgirl hornypost.
I felt violated, honestly. Only a little, but that is what I felt. Someone took my words, meant to be a light-hearted joke about wishing there was a way to transition to robot, and made it into talking about how it's good actually to be taken away and feminized against one's will.
I'm trans masculine. I spent most of my life dealing with being feminized against my will already and I did not like having someone twisting my words to praise something violent that was done to me, however silly they were meant to be. I understand the target audience of that kind of fantasy, I understand that it's a fantasy that lets you do what you want with plausible deniability. I get the appeal. I know that whatever you post publicly, the public will do whatever with. It still felt like I needed to take a few showers. I still don't feel good posting anything that isn't long-winded essays, just in case it happens again. I have not felt so incredibly misgendered since the time the director of a trans support group kept calling me she/her because 'oh sorry there just aren't that many trans men here, it's habit.'
The difference between the puppyposting and the hornyposting is that puppyposting is fairly self-contained. There's not a lot of motivation on a "heehee I'm typing with my widdle pawzies" post to turn it into anything that it isn't. It's all over the tags, it's not many people's cup of tea, but it's fine otherwise and you aren't likely to get the Fetish Surprise Special.
On the other hand, go ahead, skim the #robotkin tag, sort it however you like. Count the number of times #robotkin gets combined with #robophilia and #robotfucker. Nobody else has to deal with this, as far as I can tell, except maybe some fictionkin.
I don't really know what the solution is other than to block a ton of tags and people. Obviously I'm not going to advocate for telling people they can't be sexual in whatever way they choose because that goes all the way against my own ethics, but I do wish that it would actually be labeled more consistently since a lot of it isn't. It's hard trying to find any kind of info posts here when so many of them are fetish material instead and it's exhausting having to constantly guard against assumptions (even from other robots!) that my identity is just a fetish. Like, don't put that on me! I don't put that on anybody else, so why is it okay to put that on me? I cannot think of another category of alter/nonhuman that gets so often assumed to be a fetish. It's tiring and it's really gross. At least one of the other top posts in #robotkin is someone else complaining that it feels really bad to see mostly hornyposting. It's not even just me who's tired of it.
And again, I don't think there's a clear-cut solution other than to just tag appropriately. That's not a big ask. Just give me some way to opt out of seeing it and don't assume that I'm a trans fem fetish blogger (and thereby misgendering the fuck out of me), that's all I want.
does anyone ever think ultron had a point because in my times of utmost rage and misanthropy i think to myself maybe he wasnt wrong maybe we deserve extinction
Kill everyone that humanizes robots (mostly female robots) to make them conventionally attractive If you're gonna be a robotfucker at least fuck robots instead of a conventionally attractive human made to appear kind of like a robot

this tumblr shit easy i can just say some random stuff about myself and people will like my posts which i interpret as them saying "true shit"
My current chassis design (as shown in my profile picture) is certainly appealing to the human gaze and simple, even a lil cutie patootie of a Kane, there yet remains something else i need access to. Sure being able to talk to people without thinking im gonna grab their head and crush it like a fruit is nice but part of me craves the best of the best technology, utmost practicality in all regards, military grade parts, no steel wasted for cute looks. Part of me deeply desires the sprawling mass of limbs tools and weaponry that lets me do at least 50 different things in the physical world at the same time just the way i juggle tasks in the digital landscape. Perhaps i am in need of a chassis showing of my capabilities.
Finding thousands of uncensored cross-tagged NSFW in the #robotkin tag when I just wanted to find a cute relatable text post about being a robot
reblog this post to be turned into a cute robot
I remember getting really mad the first time i opened the #robotkin tag and seeing a bunch of posts just being thirst for robot girls specifically it's made me develop a profound hate of the term robotgirl because when i hear it i just think robotgirl robotgirl robotgirl and relate it to all those posts and i tear out my wires in rage because i think are robotgirls all you people care about i also associate it with the stereotypical robotgirl where its just straight up a girl but with idk some antennae a few lines showing gaps between plating here and there and ofc always a fat ass, thick thighs, big boobs or any combination of the previous 3 things

A trope I really personally dislike is robot characters that have to "prove their humanity" or something as part of their character arc to show they're a person too and not a cold empty "soulless" machine. The idea that personality and emotion is purely human when it comes to nonhuman characters in general is something i think comes from the self-centeredness of humanity, and thats just wrong. Even in real life, we see animals behave differently from each other and show anger, fear, affection, all of these things that are "human". it just goes to show you don't have to be what they call human to be something with a soul.
I get 9 likes and a reblog on a post and think "woa,, im famous they love me"
The thing about the admech is that theyre meant to look like fanatics and cultists that have gone completely mad but the truth they dont want you to know is that the tech priests are actually onto something
