Gone.

…and then you grow up and life files you down to mere sawdust on the ground. You didn’t even know it was happening. Year after year, milestone after milestone, the wind just carries you to your next destination. You are not in control. But then you wake up one morning, and you finally find the strength to try and piece yourself back into your former glory. Except you can’t. You will try your hardest, but you will never be the same. Everything will be too small, too vague, or too broken. And you will lose hope once more. And the wind will take you again. –North, east, south, west. Day after day after day. Until you are at a place where you find yourself being hopeful, trying one more time. But the cycle continues.

There’s just so many things on this earth that I will never understand.

Today is the 365th day of the year. --But also my 228th day of knowing you. In retrospect, for whatever reason, the universe gave me you at the perfect time. For 228 days, you have been my light and my rock. You have been with me through tears and celebrations, held my hand through the best and worst of times. 2015 wasn't perfect, but I was happy. :) I am glad to have met you. Thank you for all the kisses, for giving me your shoulder to sleep on, for lending me your clothes, for always asking if I want a glass of water, for putting up with my immaturity, for letting me take-up the whole blanket, for taking care of me when I was sick, for giving me another set of family and friends, for those good morning texts I wake up to everyday, and paying for my bus rides. Cheers to another year of adventure! I love you. Always.
