The terrible aching pain of the loss of our partners is intense and will not go quietly.  But we heal, slowly.  The company and support of your close friends is crucial to that healing, as I have learned over the year since I lost my partner of 15 years to cancer.  Here is something that rings true for me, and that may be helpful.  

“Grief is not a problem to be solved or resolved. Rather, it’s a process to be tended and lived through in whatever form and however long it may take.  The process cannot be hurried by friends and family, however well meaning their desire to relieve the griever’s anguish.  Recovery and adjustment can take much longer than most people realize. We need to accept whatever form it takes, both in ourselves and in others.”

The person who started this blog quit and I took it over to help them. But I’m kind of really depressed and alone right now , so it’s not something that’s like a to interest of mine, nor do I believe I can run the blog honestly and with openness like how I used to before I was so depressed.

I keep the blog because an earlier version of me found it hopeful. If people from diverse backgrounds (age, body, ability status) submit, then I’ll post it, but I do not have the emotional stregnth to go looking for something I’ll never have.
