“--it seems we are entering the belly of beast, huh Fran?” he smiled coyly unbeknownst towards his partner, who kept the diligent surveillance going so earnestly. 

As the path began to make a sway around into another section of the mines, a shadowy figure, who size rivals to that of a Seeq was seems to have been waiting for them. Instantly, he noticed Fran picking up her fighting stance with the choice of the long range approach of a bow and arrow. 

“Oh. One of those headless fiends..what do you call them..ah, a dullahan.” Only armed with a sword and brute strength to boot, this adversary in an one on one fight would take just mere minutes to overcome. By being a two versus one affair however, this seemed to have been a walk in a park for the veteran warrior. As it began to approach, it had proven to balthier that it was a formidable opponent, barely taking any pain chance against the flurry of his partners arrows. 

--bang! [the onion shot, was aimed towards the beast’s sword arm--thus making the foe unarmed.]

you know, i’ve really come a long way with this blog. it hasn’t been an incredibly long time that i’ve been here, but i’ve found and accepted that there are people on here that do not want to associate with me. i know a lot of people can agree that whether it be in real life or on here or just.. whatever, there are people who were a part of our lives, and now they are not. the subject of forgiveness is such a touchy thing, especially when this person did you wrong completely and you just cannot forgive them. here’s something to take into account though guys, we all make mistakes. i’ve made a ton of stupid mistakes in my life that i absolutely feel horrible about and have put in my time to regret them. i’ve had people do me wrong too and honestly guys, it does take some time to get over that. it really does, especially when that person who did you wrong is someone you were really close to. 

we do some really stupid stuff. i mean, we do it to the people we love without thinking sometimes.. it’s crazy. so i’m going to encourage you guys right now to think back about the things in your life that have affected you for better or for worse and really just.. take it all in. i know it can be hard to accept things, but the first step of forgiveness in yourself and sometimes even others is the admittance that you were at fault. second chances are scary because you’ll never know when someone is going to hurt you again. i don’t know about you guys, but when things go wrong and i realize that i hurt people, i’m seriously imploring the people i love to forgive me. why do you ask? i love them. i really do love them. 

forgiveness is something that we all must take the path in learning, it’s a capability that allows us to not shut people out or put up our walls. heck, we don’t enjoy putting up our walls.. but it’s our protection from people who hurt us! it’s perfectly normal to have your safeguards up, but wouldn’t you rather live and to love fully without regrets of always looking behind you? i’m being blunt by saying this, but it’s crucial if you want to live a sensational life. the first step is to stop looking at other people’s faults and look at what you’ve done. can you have that same level of sympathy for whoever has done you wrong? 

most of all, let go of the anger, let go of the frustration. you don’t need the frustration in your life. 

she’s slow with her actions to lower her weapon and heed his words. there was an artful presence to him that was easily noted and was compelling enough to hold her interest. ❛ uh-huh, deter away? i’d appreciate it if you deterred away from my flowers. 

yes, they are mine. ❜ she’d note, pausing briefly, and then blinking rather hastily. ❛ sky pirate? ❜ so this is what they looked like. ( this was not anything she ever expected to see. ) ❛ i.. are you sure? ❜ a few more wisecracks would not hurt, and so grows the confidence to be able to move closer. 

❛ i’m sorry, i guess i never expected to see someone like.. like you. i assumed that when i would finally meet a sky pirate, they’d look a little bit more rough. no offense. you just don’t look scary enough. ❜

aerith is growing more comfortable with the passing moments. ❛ so.. you will not be stealing from me? isn’t that what sky pirates are all about? ❜ the flower girl would soon regret pushing these choices of words on him, he could easily change his mind after all. she’s averting her gaze from him now. 

Her aura was something peculiar and tried as he might, balthier had failed to wrap his mind around it completely. Though taking mental notes of the smaller pieces of the puzzle, realizing that the plants and shrubbery had this eerie appeal to her. It was almost as if the plant life around her respected the gamine to be some sort of herald. 

Her timbre of lush parley mentioned the words ‘sky pirate’, and immediately he had her full attention. If anyone was anyone, they would know that the words sky pirate and peace keeper didn’t necessarily go hand in hand. After all, he too , an individual of class and decorum now subjugated by the title but mind you, by choice--a means of freedom to start anew. He wasn’t your ordinary pirate, and she sure did hit the nail of coffin there when mentioning how less intimidating he appeared before her. 

balthier shrugged it off coyly as steel plated sandals approached leisurely toward her. “my. an eye for detail, you are.” 

“--so that’s what they tell you about us, sky pirate huh?” he whistled a sorrowful tune to display the inaccuracy of their qualms. 

“I play the leading man, miss. I am not your average run of the mill pirate.” Jade hues narrowed but non lethally. Something about her was just too pure to unleash the cynical side of him--instead he kept gentleman appeal and bowed his head. “I only take what’s deemed worthy to my eyes, and my eyes alone. No disrespect.”

Though, she had to admit defeat for a while.

all was not for naut. why, in his case; the sky pirate was lucky to have an ace up his sleeve against his competitors for what the street ear had said was worth far more than what the few coin he gave him. according to intel, the person who posted the bill was last seen near a woman whose hair was a rare shade of pink. from knowing that much already, his eyes was set for the horizons--on the road to gil and living the life of complete luxury as he dreamed. 

as common sense was have it, the best method of approach was to start a recon search on the outer skirts of the town. with a description of her character, there was no way in Ifrit’s hell that she would be this dense to remain within the area.

“this would be like taking candy from a baby.” he looked onward at the others whom are frantically looking in alleyways and nearby establishments for the culprit.

moments into minutes had transpired and jade hues were at a glow; treasure was needed to be acquired for at the very sight was the rare shade of pink blowing in the wind, with no cares in the world. from the looks of it, she appeared to been out of breath--which made perfect confirmation that she was indeed the culprit behind it all. he began to take appropriate measure, and act unknowingly of her accusation.

in the riddled caverns and labyrinths of the bhujerba mines, where traps and monsters that inhabited the area laid bear to the ill prepared hunter. on a constant state of alert, it was needless to say, by having the navigator of the pair to take the lead was often the best case scenario. the anatomy that of the viera and all their talents combined were vastly superior to the hume race that balthier is classified in. renowned as the ‘leading man’ it was often a contradicting moment whenever, he played the supportive role when it came down to locating treasures or marks. this made quite the performance, as the two would jest at each other in friendly mockery of who is actually playing the lead role.
