"We're just friends," she decided, unable to picture her and Amory being much more than that, unless it was maybe like a one time drunk thing that only solidified their strictly platonic compatibility. "Not on purpose," she emphasized, grinning against their lips. "I don't know the whole story, they were friends and one of them was semi-closested, I don't know."

"Boo - that's all you're gonna give me when you tease me with something juicy like that and then have like the bare minimum. Fine though, I'll keep this in mind once I have something juicy to report to you and I keep all of the details myself." What else is up with you though? The world feels so different now that I'm out of my harrowing bout with the common flu."

By pure coincidence Vic met and befriended Rob and Amory, before she knew how close they were, but she thought that spoke to just how small Rosewood was more than anything else. "Like objectively speaking yeah, but I don't know if that's something I'm interested in. I'm not really the home wrecking type either, at least, never on purpose."

"Well if it ever came down to that, I'm not a piece of shit, I'd get out of your way." Truthfully, Rob couldn't see Vic and Amory hooking up but stranger things have happened and opposites attracted all the time so nothing was ever truly off of the table, "Wait, never on purpose so you've done it before?" Rob leaned over the table enough to peck Vic's lips with a grin, then drummed on the table with their palms, "Storytime, storytime, storytime."

JJ didn't think about it often but every now and then he considered that all of that had birth parents they basically knew nothing about. JJ and Amory's origins were so mysterious that not even Flynn knew. It was wild to think sometimes that there were random people out there who were actually responsible for bringing them into the world. "Yeah neither do I. I love our weird ass family." JJ nodded along as they listened to them break it down for him. "Yeah she gives me those kinds of vibes. Amory's been spending more time with her lately, she has a good effect on both of you. Big muse energy. Well it's summer time, it's the time to get out there and get your freak on." He leaned in with them and raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And when you say insane you mean you were both naked or like fighting crime?"

"Yeah, who saw that coming right? The last thing I ever saw coming is any kind of thread between Amory and anyone I'm sleeping with, even if he's not sleeping with her, you Bueller boys are good for falling for people you spend time with. Just a bunch of softies." Rob teased then shrugged, "Yeah, I was kind of a beast last summer I'm not quite feeling that level but I'll scratch the itch I do feel." Rob sipped their drink for a moment, "I've seen Sol naked before so that's not even shocking it's more...naked with intimacy and both felt equally as important in the dream. I don't know it was freaky. But dreams don't mean anything anyhow right?"

She thought about it a second then shook her head, "I don't think so." As much as she liked Rob, it was just casual- Vic didn't do much beyond that, but that didn't invalidate feeling a certain type of way either, not even jealously. "It's not, he's more of a slow burn kinda guy, isn't he."

Rob breathed an inward sigh of relief that things didn't get awkward, although they weren't all that worried because with Vic it was pretty much a 'what you see is what you get' type deal. Something that they found attractive about the girl. "He is, our boy is a quiet soul, but as you've obviously found out he's a great hang to say the least. Do you think he's hot though? Keep in mind he's basically my brother, so you'd be wrecking a happy home here potentially. If any face could do it though...it's yours."

"You're absolutely right," he admitted, not even trying to hide it. They knew him too well anyway. "Yeah I think they run that moron department actually. And Suede is the clerk for the department," he joked, getting a kick out of his own joke. "I mean...you're not wrong. It's really working for me you know," he put his hands under his chin and smiled. "But what about you though, dude? You and Vic, you two just hanging out? Is the roster still long or on hiatus? Catch me up."

"Dude seriously, sometimes I think about alternate timelines but I don't want to screw with our weird ass little family. So quietly judging our elders is enough for me." Rob grinned at her essentially brother. They chuckled out loud, "Vic Vinson and me? We hang out when we can, I like her a lot but it's not like that. She's like famously not interested in anything solid. As far as my roster goes I kind of slowed down a little bit, but that's mostly because of the band but since that's over now and I've been cooped up sick, I'm feeling the itch to just get out there you know?" Being dramatic, Rob looked around and then leaned in, "Between you and me. I had an insane dream about Sol that's had me kind of...thrown."

"I feel like their bedroom has to be massive. Like what if they have like a double king sized bed. It's just all bed no room," he told them with a laugh, laughing a bit more as he thought about it. "Oh hell yeah," he said without hesitation. "Monroe is...she's the real fucking deal, dude. We work so well together and sometimes it kind of blows my mind how fucking fun it is to just be with her. Like not to sound fucking crazy but I'm pretty sure I'm in love with her. Shit, did I just say that out loud?" He paused for a second then shrugged. "Fuck it, it's the truth. Even crazier, I think she feels the same."

"A double king sized bed is crazy. Nobody's investing in that much real estate just to sleep." Rob laughed along with him, the visual being pretty funny all things considered. While it was jarring for Rob to hear anybody talk in such deep passionate terms about anyone, they weren't surprised that the mouth it was coming out of was his, "Mhm and are we planning on saying those words out loud to one another? How do you even know that you love her though, like in that way? Or no bummer shit, how do you know you're not just riding a honeymoon high? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you, just inquiring minds want to know."

"I love you enough to not lie about my talents," he replied with a pout before giving their hands a squeeze. "I did, yeah. I feel like they're accurate descriptions. And yeah we have plans. Plans that include a lot of mouth to mouth yeah." He wiggled his eyebrows before laughing. "Her parents are pretty hot, yeah, I get it. I'll see what the vibe is. You gotta see their house though, I mean I know ours is big but theirs is so fucking cool it kind of blows my mind. I'm still not totally sure if they like me but I haven't like, met them super formally yet so maybe they don't even have an opinion about me."

"You know, you organize a music festival successfully and suddenly it's about your talents. I see how it is." Rob smirked, just being a brat in a different way then. "Accurate, but at the price of your pride man. Bust out some big boy words when you're talking to me." Rob wasn't one to get in people's business when it came to what they had going on in terms of vetting them and all of that, but they were curious when it came to dynamics, "I don't so much care about the size of their house as I do the size of their bedroom. You're worried about the parents though, that mean you're pretty locked in?"

“My mouth’s not that big,” She flipped her phone to get another look at the portrait for herself, smirking as she turned her attention back to Rob. “Not like the whole time or anything, but yeah we hung out a bit. Hook up? No. Why, would you be jealous if we did?,” she asked, teasing but just as curious too.

"Oh your mouth is so that big." Rob smirked at Vic's inability to not look at the picture again. They raised their eyebrow at her in an almost challenging manner, thinking before answering her question, "If I said yes would that be a problem?" Then they shrugged, "Maybe a little or maybe not at all, I can't really say. I was only joking though, that's not really his style."

She surrounded herself with enough theatrical characters that Rob's little tantrum didn't faze her in the slightest. Pouting, she set their phone back down in front of them. "Poor thing. Amory and I got our portraits by one of those caricature artists, you wanna see?" She wasn't totally unsympathetic, but she figured she could make Rob laugh. Pulling up the picture, she turned it around for them to see. "We look fucked up."

Rob didn't answer, but still moved in closer to see said portrait, a sucker for people she cared about and seeing them happy. "I don't know, "You two look just as funny looking as you always do to me." Rob smirked, amused by their jab, "Did the two of you hang out a lot there? Hook up?"

"I mean I'm not going to act like it wasn't awesome," JJ replied as he slid over the coffee he had gotten for them. "But I got you lots of videos and pictures and I'm pretty sure I can put that shit in VR and it'll basically be like you were there. But ew, you don't still have sick cooties, do you?" He leaned back a bit. "Monroe and I have plans this weekend, I can't afford to get the flu."

"If you loved me you would act like it wasn't awesome. Its fine, I walk through this world alone, I get it. Did you, an adult human just say 'ew' and 'cooties'?" Rob snorted, amused, more focused on the gossip over their dissatisfaction. "Oh you have plans? Why can't you afford to get the flu? You plan on exchanging bodily fluids? By the way can you ask if either of her parents are single or like...open to a third? I'm very discreet if so. Blind items say they're kind of freaky and I could be into that."

Vic caught their phone as it slid across the table, too curious not to flip it over to see what Rob was looking at. "Oh, yeah," she chuckled to herself as she watched a video from the festival, then looked back up, shrugging. "Honestly it wasn't even that fun. Would've been way better with you there."

"Oh yeah." They were unable to hold back a small smile at the fact that they were having a albeit small tantrum, and Vic was completely unbothered or uninterested in giving attention to it. Rob could be a brat and they knew that, it just didn't come out as often as others in the town it would seem, "Well yeah, but it was better than me in bed coughing my lungs out and eating soup I can't taste because I'm so stuffy for a week."

Sol didn't enjoy being jolted awake by one of Rob's episodes, but that didn't mean she hated it as such. More than anything she was sympathetic, unable to imagine how awful they must have felt while she was right there next to them none the wiser. "It's okay, 'm here," she mumbled, half asleep and wriggling around to get comfortable in their new position. "I'll beat up any demons that come for you..."

"I really wish you didn't say the D word." Given Sol's position in their life, Rob was cool with being vulnerable in showing fear around the girl, knowing she wouldn't be judged for it, "I'll still take you as my personal slayer." They tried to joke even though they really hated those sleep paralysis episodes and it left them a little off kilter. "Sorry I woke you up. What were you dreaming about? Ironic if your answer is holding me in your arms."
