"Ah! Good morning, Momo-kun." Nitori said, quickly pulling his shirt over his head so he was now fully clothed. "Did you sleep well?" Nitori asked, looking up from under his bunk. "You were shifting around a lot. It kind of sounded like you were having a lot of trouble following asleep…"

Not surprised at all to hear the other's reply, Momotarou finally opened his eyes and sat up. Pulling the blankets around his shoulders and over his head, he crossed his legs, still a bit reluctant to get out of bed just yet. "Ah, well . . ." the redhead lazily wobbled a bit, still somewhat half asleep. "Yeah, I guess it took me a couple extra minutes more to fall asleep. I hope I didn't bother you."

Ai watched Momotarou for a few moments before quickly retreating to his own bunk. Most days Aiichirou would have to tell Momo to be quite over and over again, but tonight it didn’t seem as if Momo was going to try to strike up a conversation with him about beetles, girls, or even swim club. For some reason it made Nitori uneasy… Ai forced himself to go to sleep that night. He could always talk to Momotarou in the morning.

Sleep didn't come easily that night. Typically after using so much energy during the day (and sometimes prolonged into the night — much to his roommate's dismay), Momotarou usually found sleep easy. Without much tossing and turning he'd be asleep within a matter of minutes. That night seemed different though. No position seemed comfortable enough as he kept switching which side to sleep on and he kept continuously unwrapping and rewrapping himself in his cocoon of blankets. It was only a few hours of sleep or so before the otter was awoken by the sound of his phone's alarm. Opening his eyes to only a small squint he reached over and turned the annoyance off.
"Good morning, Nitori-senpai" he murmured, not even having to check if the other was awake or not as he knew Nitori tended to wake up just a bit earlier than himself.

’there’s no way i’m going to let you down. unfortunately, i won’t be able to see your dolphin kick. that let me down.’

"Good, good. Just remember what you said Tachibana, last time was last time. Next time's going to be different. Anyways, I'm more of a sea otter."
