Throwback to Wango Tango 2014. First time I got to see one of my favorite bands, Paramore, perform live!

At 3 am, I found myself wishing: 1) I could have been called on stage instead of that girl (on 3:50)  2) Paramore would come back to Manila ASAP (because a 20 minute set sure wasn't enough) 3) I could be at Jingle Ball 2014. KIIS FM, your line ups are always amazing.

I used to catch some episodes on TV before, but I never watched the whole series until this year. I attempted once last year, but for some reason it bored me. The second try though, I was hooked and it was a struggle for me to stop my marathons for school work. I think of myself as a real life Ted - a hopeless romantic completely believing in destiny, the Universe and its signs, and hoping to find the one. 

I didn't finish all the episodes in time for the finale, but I decided to spoil myself with what was going to happen. Yes, there were theories and hints on the mother's death, but I didn't actually think that they would kill her off. Watched the last episode today and it totally makes sense now. After years of Ted searching and getting hurt along the way, he finally met the mother. Their story makes me believe in destiny and the Universe again - how they're so alike and how each moment since the yellow umbrella incident has finally brought them together to meet at the Farhampton station. I even liked how Tracy met the whole gang before she met Ted, and how Barney was supposed to set them up with the classic have you met Ted? play. They got married, had kids and were sooo happy together. Ted finally found the girl he has been waiting for, but she just had to get sick and that was it. She's gone. It sucks so bad to wait for so long and go through all that just to find out they weren't going to end up until the end. 

What Penny said was true, though - their dad told the whole story, but the mother was barely in it. Of course Ted was still in love with Robin after all this time. Of course. It makes sense. After all, he was the one who would always go big and come through for her, steal a blue French horn and find her locket for her. It just makes sense.

For everything that's been happening since the year started.. it's been a bumpy start. And this is my current anthem.

One year ago, this wasn't exactly where I thought I would be by now. Not even close. 2013 started out rough for me, especially when I found out I didn't pass my dream school. Not gonna lie, it was devastating. I started to doubt myself, tried everything I could, but I guess it just wasn't for me. I was also scared to leave MC after being surrounded by familiar places and people for 12 years. (I miss you, 13LUE!)

If there's anything last year has taught me, it's to make the most of whatever life throws at you. I never pictured myself in DLSU - not at all. But I'm really happy and proud to call myself a Lasallian. I've been given lots of opportunity to grow and learn. I'm also thankful to have met new people and friends whom I also consider as family now. I know it's only been seven months, but we've been through so much together, it feels like a long time already. I can still remember those awkward lunches with block 12 like it was yesterday haha! I'll be looking back at the first few months of my stay in college with the most fun and craziest memories, all thanks to them.  

In 2013, I also started living in a condo because it was much more convenient (Ugh, I really hate Manila traffic. And distance. I hate distance). Not coming home to my family and not seeing their faces everyday was tough (and it still is) but I learned to value their presence even more every time we get the chance to be together. I'm also thankful for being given the chance to become roommates with one of my best friends. It's so nice to have someone to talk with about anything; we would be telling each other stories until we fall asleep. Living in the same condo with some of my blockmates had its perks too - countless cups of coffee and all nighters (which sometimes ended up as "sleep" overs), taking our clingy-ness to another level. Hehehe. 

Thank you so much to the new people I've met, the ones who've always been there and those who made an effort to stay. You know who you are. I love you all! Here's to many more adventures, travels and everything else in between together in the years to come.

2013 was a roller coaster indeed. Though it had its ups and downs, the ride was hella worth it and I'm thankful for every bit of it.
