forgive yourself for your mistakes, remember the good times, appreciate that at one point you loved, and accept that they aren't the person for you. quit trying to love toxic people and expecting anything other than hurt from them. those people who talk poorly about their "friends" are the ones who will never find true happiness until they learn to love themselves. i lost myself trying to love someone who did nothing but harm. every time i would try to move on, they'd try ruining my life to get me back in theirs, just to hurt me again. they finally screwed me over one last time and i was left to realize just how much i appreciate the few i do have. if they talk poorly about their "best friends," they are talking poorly about you too. if they never accept their mistakes, chances are they don't even see that they're making them. i had to lose everything to find myself. today is a new day, the first day of a new beginning. love yourself before you try loving anyone else. it's your happiness, so quit letting others be in charge of it.
