I had one helping of PORK and I had to go back for seconds! YUM! No really, they re-released their Witch Bitch patch! They also released their Mickey Bat as an enamel pin.

I've been a fan of Camille Rose Garcia for quite some time but getting to follow her on instagram and watch her draw has been inspiring. I'm a sucker for all things pin and patch so when she showed off the SOOO GOOD pins I knew I had to have them, then they were accompanied by the happy and sad pins and that they were glow in the dark I couldn't help myself, I had to immediately buy them. Good thing I acted so fast because they sold out within the hour.

I received a package from her within the week and was pleased to find the pins were super hefty. The teeth have one pinback while the bow has two. I am terrified of losing them so I've ordered more pin lockers and will wait until they arrive to adorn my jacket. The pins come on a heavy stock silver printed card with a CRC cat face sticker. The pins themselves are, like I said, heavy and the quality enamel REALLY glows in the dark. As soon as you've exposed them to light they begin to irradiate and the glow is unmistakable. I hope Camille comes out with more pins and possibly patches as her work translates really well into this medium! 

Wrench welding, zombie beating, beer guzzling, classic car driving Goon- the comic book brain child of Eric Powell- is one of my all time favorite reads, and not just mine as he's known as a 5 time Eisner Award winner and surpassing his Kickstarter goal of $440,000 to make the STORY REEL for a Goon feature film, so I guess you could say people like him! 

I received an artist proof Canners variant of his Bowen sculpted statue (and a Christmas card!) and let me tell you the sculpt work Bowen is known for is tried and true on this 9" statue, which is to die for, I must also mention the paint job is crisp and precise. The colors are vibrant and every inch of the statue is spot on as far as the character goes. There is a splash of blood for a little extra effect on the heavy base which elicits the thought that the poor guy can't even play a game of football without somebody needing their head beat in.

This particular statue has been out for a while (released in 2007), but I've been holding off 7 years because moving with statues makes me rip my hair out. The Canners variant statues are limited to 100 pieces, so finding one of these babies might be a bit difficult, but as far as I know Eric posts the regular run statues (which were limited to 500) on his ebay account from time to time, along with prints, original art, t-shirts and other Goon related merch when the mood hits him. Shirts, phone covers, lunch boxes ect can be found at the Dark Horse online shop the rest of the time.

Nothing cooler than a bunch of punked out Piggly Wigglies; PORK is known for making the squares squeal in response to their too-cool-for-you weirdo art that started as a quarterly black and white newspaper mag published by GOBLINKO out of PORK-land Oregon.

They've ripped some of the best illustrations and cool products right out of the pages and stuck them on patches, buttons, t-shirts and new enamel pins for YOU to buy on their website: The PORK SHOP, or if you're in the area they've started setting up shop in various hip places.

If you haven't seen them around by now you're can't be that cool.

I picked up a few patches for my various vests, hoodies, and jeans with holes in them- I'm a cat lover so I picked out the few cat related patches like the Trick or Treat patch, Kamikaze Pussy Patch, and a Screamin' Alley Cat Eye Gouger for good measure. I've already placed another order for a few more things as PORK has a steady out pour of new and unique adornments that are actually quite fun and interesting. If you like to support mom and pop or indie ventures these people are as cool as it gets. You can even pad out your order with a few of the magazine issues, comb knives, and various enamel necklaces, and they'll even throw in some extra stuff like sticker and postcards. I love their stuff- All their products are pretty solid, vibrant in color, and high in quality.The patches can be ironed on or sewn, they are thick with solid stitching. The gouger is a neat add-on that runs the gamut, but is mass produced elsewhere; I have yet to actually gouge out anyone's eyes so I'll have to reserve my opinions on the quality of the product until I've done so- anyone wanna volunteer?
