🦈: The moment when I competed in the National Games in Si Sa Ket, I broke many records and got gold medals. There was also the World Championships in Abu Dhabi. But on a general feeling, I miss the fun of swimming as a kid, swimming just because the water was cool and refreshed me from the heat. Today, I might not feel that way, but whenever I look back, I always think of that feeling every time. (X)

🦈: Burnout is something every athlete has to face. Each person manages it and find a way out differently. For me, I would study world-class swimmers like Adam Peaty and Caeleb Dressel. They mentioned that after finishing a major competition, they give themselves a lot of time to do other things. I think this method works very well, it keeps us from putting too much pressure on ourselves, gives us the opportunity to experience new things, and lets us to live life a bit outside the swimming pool. (x)

First of my bloodline to see slick on screen... I love this show. Originally I thought they would at most allude to it, but then he brought his hand up - I fully jumped up from my sofa istg. Absolutely momentous.

Now. First of all, Oat is doing a superb job. Secondly, I find it fascinating how reluctant Phatsa is to use his toy. He keeps resisting until he absolutely can't handle the heat without it. He has the toy (/muddler, but apparently Thailand doesn't allow these kinds of toys...) and its in the shower, so I assume he does occasionally use it... I wonder if the issue here is a lack of prep, or if he doesn't usually prefer to be on the recieving end of things. Because the show puts A LOT of focus on his reluctance here. What do you guys think?

Ongsa is understandably beside himself - he knows this could kill Phatsa - when Nakhun, Nakhin, and their bodyguards rush in.

We see clearly that alpha pheromones have an impact to betas as well, which is good to know. I assumed, but this is a good frame of reference.

I will suspend my full judgement of Nakhin kissing Ongsa as dub-con for now, since I'm still going by the theory that they're exes. Still not an ok thing to do, but makes more sense at least than kissing a complete stranger.

Once Nakhun and Phatsa get back to Nakhuns room we get the scene that I'm not sure I can take screencaps of without tumblr getting mad at me. I absolutely love that it's not pretty, and it's not comfortable, it's not really even that sexy (ymmv). They are both going feral, and boy do they act like it. There is not a single conscious thought here until Nakhun pulls back to take a breath. And there is not supposed to be. Omegaverse if fascinating in part because we are playing with the boundaries of consent: they are both incapable of rational thought, but - as established - this is a biological necessity rn. So where to draw the line.

And then it's not bond fever anymore, but an actual heat. Phatsa's despreation here is heartbreaking. Nakhun is trying to guide him by asking, but Phatsa cannot know. Oh man one day I'll write a whole essay or two on how sex ed is required for informed consent and what that means in the omegaverse... I just wanna know more of Phatsa's backstory first.

He'll be such a menace once he gets a handle on the omega of this all. Nakhun, you stand no chance.

Nakhun does promise to take responsibility if they proceed, but he is once again forgetting that he is coming at this form a completely different framework than Phatsa. Sigh.

Nakhun looks shocked at his own actions. As a true alpha, I don't think he's use to having his commands refused/questioned. Because he did command. He straight up told Phatsa that he'd be moving in with him. No questions, no second guessing. Oh man those pheromones must feel horrible through the bond: and alpha's direct anger towards his bonded omega. Bad alpha for doing it, good alpha for taking accountability.

Good.Nakhun has a cute pout here as Phatsa presses him on this subject, but I couldn't for the life of me manage to screencap it at the exact right second.

Phatsa's CV.

"Senior thesis: Financial Transparency and Ethical Boundaries in Authority-Centered Systems" The a/b/o structure is an authority centred system in need of some ethical boundaries if I ever saw one, so even though he might not have a full grasp of it yet at least Phatsa is somewhat prepared.

"Current status: Actively seeking emplyment -- professional merit over designation." Hmm. You can sort of interpret this in a regualar human way, but this definitely sounds omegaverse-y to me.

I love mom <3 (Dad is still an asshole.) But I can't help but notice Phatsa's face after the mention of his parents. Is he an orphan? Is he wondering why his parents didn't tell him? Am I reading too much into this and Phatsa is being awkward - weird way to meet your basically-husband's mom for the first time.

I get the situation is not what he planned for himself, but Phatsa's insistance on being as self-reliant as possible is such a fascinating character trait. Because he emphasises it so much that there must be some deeper reason for it, right?
