i just wanted to come on here and say this because i'm dealing with the guilt of not believing this, but i think it's really important
little backstory about why i'm writing this
i'm a first year a level student, with end of years coming up in may
for those of you who don't know, end of years contribute to predicted grades that you use to apply to university, so they're a bigger deal than usual
over this last 2 week holiday, i worked 6 hours a day with 2 rest days a week where i still did physical activities and had commitments with family
in the midst of all that i think i only slept more than 8 hours once or twice, more often sleeping about 7 hours, which is technically good, but not during holidays when you really need to rest
on monday night i had a small health thing and ended up sleeping about 5 hours before going to school, where i was exhausted and was all but falling asleep during my lessons
i came home and worked another 3/4 hours before going to sleep
today i woke up after 7 hours of sleep
i decided i'm not going to go to school.
because i'm way too tired – which is not something i do like this, i usually wait till the middle of the term to decide something like that and my mother gave me a lot of shit for it
i feel so guilty about it, but even though i took today off from school, i still scheduled another 5 hours of work from home + the 2 hours of tutoring I have tonight
then, i decided to sleep a little more before i started working, just for 2 hours. but when i woke up, i'd slept for over 4 hours.
i had slept through the first hour that i had scheduled for studying and the first thing my mins went to was how i'm going to shuffle around the timeslots to be able to work to fit in this 5 hours
after sending a couple of emails and looking over some content (still in bed), i got up, and I realised that i'm just tired. not in a way that sleep can necessarily fix all the time, but in a way that my mind is just trying to get me to slow down for a minute.
so right now, i'm trying to just come to peace with scrapping this day of hard work, maybe do one or two hours maximum of catching up or content, but nothing extra
because i took a day off to rest, and that means that i actually need to rest because even though it's hard to admit, i need to.
being a student, particularly at GCSE, A-level, and above, means that you have a lot of pressure put on you and you feel like you're constantly running out of time
this means that we think that every second counts and if you waste it, it's going to come back to bite you, and the guilt you feel from that is immense
whilst it is true that every second counts, none of the seconds are useful if you are not going to be at your best (or 70% at least) mentally, because being burnt out makes everything harder
you need to take care of yourself, and impromptu rest days are just as important as scheduled rest days
--- on another note: PLEASE schedule at least one rest day a week during exam time and two during other times ---
listen to yourself, taking days to rest and recuperate is important.
rest doesn't have to be earned, it's a bare minimum
it's a bare minimum to function normally, and not resting can lead to a lot of things that add a lot of stress to an already stressful situation like sleep deprivation and depression
sleep is everything
as someone who just told you about my sleep schedule that leaves A LOT to be desired, i obviously need to practice what i preach
sleep deprivation has been shown to have links to developing depression and lower cognitive functioning
please, please, please try to get 8.5 hours as a bare minimum of sleep
this is something i think is so unrealistic given the taxing demands of student life, but there was a point in time where i was achieving this consistently and i had no bags under my eyes (something that is just a constant to my appearance now)
so i'm going to try fix this, and you should too. nothing is worth it if you aren't feeling good, and as someone who has been at highs and lows, the lows make things a lot harder and it's a lot harder to get back on a high
sorry for the yap, but i really needed to justify this for myself and for you guys too
if anyone needs anything, or is struggling to cope with workloads, please reach out or put it in my asks box because i know this all can be really difficult

In 30 years when shifting becomes popular to the masses, and everyone is suddenly realizing it’s 100% real and surprisingly simple… I’ll remember these days
READ TO THE END IF YOU WANT TO MASTER SHIFTING REALITIES, VOID STATE, LUCID DREAMING, ASTRAL PROJECTION, AND SLEEP PARALYSIS
INTRODUCTION
please read at least this paragraph to the end. i know many people roll their eyes and scroll when they are told to apply the law of assumption, be persistent and ignore 3d. you may think that this is long, tedious and will not work, and you’d better try that new x method, thanks to which you will definitely shift or enter the void tonight. “i have difficult circumstances. i need this today. i don’t want to waste time on the law of assumption”. okay, and how many of “those nights” have passed? how many years have you been trying? how many times have you achieved success after making such statements? how many times have you disregarded the law and woken up again in this reality without your desires? and how many more years are you going to waste your time? break the cycle. in a week in goddess state, you will achieve more than if you tried a new method every day for a year
still don't want to apply the law of assumption? come on, try to shift or enter the void state today. if you don’t succeed (and i’m sure of this, forgive the harshness), then you will return to this post, read it completely and carefully and follow my instructions

“an assumption, though false, persisted in will harden into fact”. your thoughts, beliefs and assumptions create your reality. we are used to thinking that 3d is our true reality, but this is not so. 3d is a mirror that reflects your 4d
if you want something, then all you have to do is decide that you already have it and be persistent. many of you misunderstand the meaning of this word in the context of the law of assumption. repeating affirmations, listening to subliminals for 24 hours and doing methods at every opportunity is not persistent. “persistence is remaining in a state of fulfilled desire. to be persistent means to stick to your assumptions regardless of what 3d reality shows you. if you react to 3d, then you are not persistent”
by reacting to 3d, you do not allow new assumptions to form in your subconscious. imagine that 3d asks again and again if you are sure that you have mastered void, shifting realities, lucid dreaming, etc. “are you sure? are you 100% sure? but you said before that you always fail. i don't think you're sure. look, you woke up again in this reality without desires. what? do you really believe what you're saying? i ask you again, are you absolutely sure?”. instead of giving a positive answer every time, you immediately give up and scroll through tumblr looking for a new method. you must be persistent, even if you do not get what you want in 3d after a week, a month or a year
(this is a bit of an exaggeration because i said it as an example., but i forbid you to think that manifestation lasts that long. “both 3d and 4d always show me only what i want to see. my 3d instantly reflects my 4d,” — this is your new assumption, whether you like it or not)
if you have negative thoughts, and we most likely will, then immediately replace them with positive ones. negative thoughts also include anticipation of desire. remind yourself again and again that you already have what you want and you are not waiting for it to manifest itself. if you catch yourself thinking that you are waiting for your manifestation, then remind yourself that you already have it
don't think that negative thoughts are ruining your progress or that you have to start over. no, as long as you are on a mental diet, you are doing everything right. by the way, posts about mental diet that you must read:
— MENTAL DIET TECHNIQUES
— THE MENTAL DIET
— MENTAL DIET AND SHIFTING
— MENTAL DIETS
what if you forgot about your mental diet for a whole day or more and were in a state of lack the whole time? decide that it didn't happen. no, don't feel like you have to start over. there is no beginning and end. decide that you have been persistent all this time. revision — 001, 002. replace these memories with something pleasant and that’s it
FULL GUIDE
DECIDE
literally right now, decide that you have mastered void, shifting realities, manifestation, lucid dreaming, sleep paralysis, and astral projection. don't you dare pick one thing from this list. take my advice and decide that you've mastered it all. do you just want to shift on command? okay, but the ability to instantly enter the void and control dreams wouldn't be out of place, would it? especially considering that you don't have to put in any effort, you just have to decide
decide that you are a master of manifestation. decide that you are manifesting desires instantly. decide that 3d instantly reflects 4d. decide that both 3d and 4d show only what you want. decide what always works in your favor
decide that you are a master of the void state. decide that you have the perfect void concept. decide that you can easily enter the void state anytime and anywhere. decide that you have been successfully inducing pure consciousness all your life. decide that to enter the void you just need to close your eyes. decided that every night you wake up in a state of void being aware
decide that you are a master shifter. decide that you shift easily and effortlessly. decide that you are in your desired reality right now. decide that you always wake up in your desired reality. decide that you shift on command. decide that the intention is enough for you to shift. decide that you have successfully shifted all your life
decide that you are a master of lucid dreaming. decide that you have lucid dreams every night. decide that all your life you have seen only lucid dreams. decide that you are in control of your dreams. decide that you easily shift from a lucid dream. decide that you effortlessly enter the void state from a lucid dream
decide that you are a master of sleep paralysis. decide that closing your eyes is enough to induce sleep paralysis. decide that you are always relaxed and calm during sleep paralysis. decide that you have safe sleep paralysis. decide that you wake up several times a night in sleep paralysis. decide that you can easily induce sleep paralysis in less than a minute. decide that you can easily shift from sleep paralysis. decide that you effortlessly enter the void state from sleep paralysis
decide that you are a master of astral projection. decide that you astral project every night. decide that all your out-of-body experiences are safe. decide that you can easily shift from astral projection. decide that you effortlessly enter the void state from astral projection
decide right now or after you read this post. don't put it off until tomorrow or monday
MANIFEST
important part. manifest your desires. solve any problems using the law of assumption. you can do it right now, you don't have to wait until you enter the void or shift. it's easy. all you have to do is decide. i’m not asking you to affirm, listen to subliminals, do sats, etc. you just need to think that you already have everything you want and be persistent in this assumption
want a new phone? ok, just decide that it's already yours. you don't have to try to enter the void tonight to manifest a new phone. do you have the flu? decide that you are always healthy (by the way, this does not mean that you should not take medications. take them, but be persistent in the assumption that you never get sick). again, you don't even have to move your fingers. besides, negative beliefs will not make your life better. do negative thoughts fulfill your desires? no, so why pay attention to them? just enjoy the feeling of fulfilled desire. just enjoy the fact that you always get what you want
by the way, manifest something "unrealistic". telekinesis, magic wand, the ability to fly or talk to animals. there’s nothing difficult about randomly remembering once a day that you can fly, right? let your subconscious know that you can literally do anything
PERSISTENCE
my honest opinion: if you are not able to be persistent, your desire is not that important to you. if you react to 3d and give up, then you don’t want to change your life so much. in order to manifest what you want, you need to be persistent in a new assumption
4d is true reality, 3d is a mirror. live in your imagination, live in the end, only then will 3d reflect your new assumptions and beliefs. these people achieved success because they accepted that imagination is the only reality. you are no worse than them. you can be persistent. and you will be persistent
know that your failure will not affect my life in any way. but it will affect you. if you finally become persistent, then you will get everything you dreamed of all that time. do it for yourself. do it for the sake of experimentation. what if you succeed?
METHODS
let's start with the method of manifestation. all i require you to do is decide, be persistent, ignore 3d, replace negative thoughts with positive ones. this is literally the basis of the law of assumption
in addition to this, you may want to use manifestation methods such as robotic affirmations, subliminals, sats, meditation, etc. overall i'm 50% okay with it. everything is fine as long as you don't put methods on a pedestal. if you start to think that without following one of the methods you will not be able to manifest your desires, then this is a red signal. just relax. you will shift, enter the void void, do astral projection, etc., even if you don’t repeat affirmations from morning to evening or don’t listen to your entire playlist. don’t force yourself to lie on your back and visualize the desired reality during sats. do what you like and when you want it. affirm, visualize, make mood boards, etc., but don’t make it a mandatory action. don't force yourself to do anything you don't want to do. and remember you change 4d and 3d, not methods
and i also urgently, on my knees, beg you to abandon methods for void, shifting, sleep paralysis, lucid dreams, etc. if you knew how wonderful it is to lie on your side at night and just fall asleep. no need to lie on your back, affirm, visualize, count. you just fall asleep without setting alarms for wbtb. no meditation, pink noise, theta waves. you don’t feel guilty or angry because you’re too lazy to do the methods. you don't scold yourself because you roll over on your side and fall asleep in the middle of the method. you don't feel disappointed that the method didn't work (in 3d, of course). this is a relief and peace that you could have experienced all this time, but for some reason you denied yourself it
yes, i know it’s strange to hear from someone who previously published methods. ah, but what's the difference? it was a long time ago and not true. now i make myself comfortable on the bed and let my thoughts flow. if i want, then i fantasize about all sorts of things, if i want, then I think about the desired reality. and only sometimes i affirm that i have mastered void, shifting, lucid dreams, sleep paralysis. i think a little about my happy life, only because i accidentally remembered it. i don't force myself to do anything i don't want to do
i say again, i am firmly against the methods! in order to shift, you don’t need to lie motionless in the starfish position for two hours. just decide! be persistent! but if you still want to do it your way, then do it right. if your attempt is unsuccessful, do not react to 3d. decide what you shifted. decide that you have entered the void state. remember the mental diet. however i still recommend not doing the methods
MENTAL DIET
it’s better, of course, to decide that negative thoughts don’t arise in you, but if they do arise, replace them with positive ones. pay attention to your inner conversation. again, if a negative thought arises, immediately replace it with a positive one. replace one negative thought with 10 positive ones
“i woke up again in the current reality” >>> “i’m so happy that i woke up in my desired reality. i’m a master of shifting. in addition, i mastered the void, lucid dreams, sleep paralysis. and i always get what i want instantly”
“i envy her so much. i can’t wait to share my success story” >>> “i never envy anyone. i have a dream life. my success story is much better than hers. one post is not enough for all my success stories, because i shift and enter the void literally every hour”
“i had such a terrible nightmare last night” >>> “i have lucid dreams every night. i forgot the last time i had ordinary non-lucid dreams. by the way, i can easily control lucid dreams! there is nothing easier than entering the void state from a lucid dream”
“if i don't enter the void today, i won't pass my exams” >>> “how could i forget that i had already passed my exams with a perfect score? and every night i wake up in a void state. i love being a manifestation master”
“what if it's not true? maybe they're all lying” >>> “the law of assumption is the truth. why? because i said so. because i already have a dream life. because i've already shifted and entered the void state a million times”
“if i don't induce sleep paralysis tonight, i won't shift” >>> “boo! who said this nonsense? everyone knows that i have mastered both reality shifting and sleep paralysis. even infants know this”
something like this. have you read those posts about the mental diet, the link to which i left at the top? don't forget about such a wonderful thing as revision. if you forgot about the mental diet and indulged in negative thoughts all day, then just change your memories. “i’m so proud that i only had positive thoughts today”
LIAR
there are times when you have to break a mental diet. what to do? lie. say the “truth” out loud, but in your mind persistently deny it. for example, your mother asked how you passed your physics test. give her an “honest” answer, but mentally affirm over and over again that you passed the test. review this moment. but if someone on this site asks you, for example, have you ever shifted, you can either safely ignore it, or say that you have already shifted a million times because you decided so
TIME
stop waiting. stop waiting for you to shift or enter the void state. stop waiting for your first lucid dream, sleep paralysis and astral projection. time doesn’t exist you already have your desires. if you notice that you are waiting for your manifestations, then immediately remind yourself that you already have everything you want! don't count the hours, days, weeks. there is only the eternal now and it is up to you to decide what you are thinking about at this moment
“i hope i enter the void before friday” >>> “wait a minute. so i already enter the void every night. i just need to close my eyes for two seconds and i immediately induce pure consciousness”
“i've been applying the law of assumption for a week now, but nothing has changed” >>> “what the hell week? i literally have lucid dreams my whole life and wake up in the void state, in sleep paralysis and the desired reality 5 times a night”
“if i persist for two weeks, i will finally shift to desired reality” >>> “goddess, i'm in my desired reality right now. i'm a master shifter. shifting is very easy. i'm already shifted”
“when will 3d reflect 4d?” >>> “3d has already reflected my 4d. 3d instantly shows me my desires. what is time lag? this is the first time i've heard of this”
if you catch yourself thinking that you are waiting for manifestation, immediately change this thought to a positive one. forget about waiting and worry. these feelings will not make your life better. forget about such nonsense as time lag
CIRCUMSTANCES
i know many of you may have difficult circumstances. but thinking about it you only complicate your life. your thoughts, assumptions and beliefs create your reality. please ignore 3d and your life will become much easier. know that people before you have succeeded in unbearable circumstances (poverty, abuse, death of loved ones, illness). they had doubts just like you, but they lived in the end and were persistent (+ this)
this doesn't mean you can't cry or be angry. no matter what you do, only what you think has power. give vent to your emotions, but be persistent in the fact that you have already succeeded. yes, it can be difficult and unusual, but you have to do it if you want to get rid of undesirable circumstances once and for all
do you have painful periods? cry, don’t hold back your tears, but insist that this is not so. be persistent in the fact that you have pain-free periods
are your abusive parents beating you again? scream and cry with anger, hit the pillow, but please ignore the 3d. repeat again and again that you are already in your desired reality, where you have loving parents
are you angry because all the housework is on you? no, no, convince yourself that you are not washing the floors right now. no, your useless brother does, and in the meanwhile you are enjoying a delicious cake
know that it is never too late to change negative thoughts to positive ones. even if two hours ago you reacted to 3d and cried bitterly, cursing your life, now you can decide that this did not happen. i don’t think i want to leave links to posts about revision for the third time. i hope you have already read them. in very emotional moments, try to remind yourself that your thoughts create your 3d reality
let the undesirable circumstances be a reminder that you already have everything you want. is the Internet not working? the Internet is fast at all times and everywhere, and besides, you've mastered the void. not enough money? not only are you rich, but you also shift easily and quickly
SUCCESS
please do not share your mini successes. did you have your first lucid dream? i’m sincerely happy for you, but don’t you dare write something like “today i realized i was in a dream!! i tried to create a portal, but it didn’t work out. next time i will undoubtedly enter a void.” honey, you just threw your mental diet in the trash
either you wait until you achieve the final goal (shifting, void), or you share your success without breaking the mental diet. “this morning i woke up in sleep paralysis. although it was predictable, i’m a master of sleep paralysis and void. why? because i decided so” or “in the evening i was lying on the couche and shifted to my desired reality, but i quickly came back. anyway, i can shift there again whenever i want, because it's not difficult for me”
DOUBTS
if you feel that you are being overcome by doubts, read loa posts, this post and all those posts to which i left links. i also recommend reading more success stories >>> @loasuccessarchive
know that people have succeeded in manifestation even though they often had doubts. but they continued to be persistent, thanks to which they shifted and entered the void state. if they could do it, so can you
EPILOGUE
this post is my first child. so i hope you read it from start to finish because the labor lasted a week if not more. i wish you good luck! i truly believe that you will begin to apply the law of assumption. are you aware that i have already decided that you have already sent me your success stories? there's no point in putting it off any longer, darlings! be persistent and i will be persistent in the assumption that you are successful <3

genuinely kind of lost the motivation and struggled to get it back, but i came across this thing called habitica that basically let me gamify my life and writing a blog post daily is on my to-do list and i get points for it, so, love it and recommend!
so let's do a small acheivement recap for the last couple of weeks:
Got a place at a John Locke Institute summer school (I turned it down though)
I organised a charity event which amassed over £1000
I managed to bag the role of the Lead of the Neurodiversity team within the school
I got a grant award - which I donated to biology
I submitted my first entry for the cambridge biology challenge with my team
Got an A in psychology, B in bio and B in chem (RS doesn't tell us what grade we got but I know I got 60% in one of my essays)
I know those grades are slightly less than desirable right now, but it genuinely is just a line of improvement and I think I'm at a pretty good starting point
so achevements have been pretty good, but studying has been on the more dysfunctional side, I genuinely think SAD (seasonal affective disorder) has come to get me again, so it's just kind of moving out of that
anyways, i'll try be a little more proactive on here and hopefully go back to the study stats soon!
I'm very ashamed to be starting off my blog entries like this, but I didn't manage to clock any hours today for studying.
I have a bunch of excuses including going to workout and then hanging out with my friend, but that didn't stop me from wracking up 9 hours of screentime.
I've decided that I will be posting everyday to hold myself accountable no matter what - whether I've been productive or not.
What I have done is I've been preparing for an interview for a supercurricular which I have tomorrow where I've been researching controversial topics so I can defend them.
I will update you on how the interview goes tomorrow and hopefully I will have been more productive.
I hope this helps anyone else who is struggling out there with staying productive and consistent too, to see that it's actually a bit of a learning curve and even if harsh motivation does work, saying that you're not good enough if you're not grinding it out 8 hours a day everyday... sometimes being lenient with yourself and accepting baby steps as baby steps can be good.
I posted a Y12 GYG on The Student Room, but I feel like I love tumblr more, and I need the motivation to post on it more often, and I thought I'd just do a daily study blog here and do a termly study update on The Student Room.
Also wanna make this interactive so everyone can motivate each other!!!
Trust this will be LIT
How will this work?
I'm gonna post a post every day, or try to at least, with my stats from the day, including my time spent on each subject, what I did for each subject, + any supercurriculars I engaged in.
I will also try to add in any reading I've done.
Little bit of motivation + study rant
I have a giant consistency problem which is not great, like one day I'll do 4 hours of work and I won't do any for the next week
Evidence is this half term where I've done no work at all apart from a little bit of biology
I think my problem is I count supercurriculars as work which they are but also what matters the most is grades.
“The only thing you can control is how hard you work”
- My biology tutor
so how will I combat this extreme lack of working?
well... 😼
Study tracking
I am going to invite you guys to my YPT study tracking app to join a study group "the forum grind," so that we can motivate each other by seeing everyone's stats (or demotivate. depending on how far behind you are LMFAO)
YPT is one of the best study tracking apps IMO because you can block other apps, but choose which ones you want to block which I think is great because I couldn't hack it with Flora with my plants just dying left right and centre every time I left the app.
so here's the link - https://link.yeolpumta.com/P3R5cGU9Z3JvdXBJbnZpdGUmaWQ9NTYxNjc4MA==
the password is: growourgrades3000
alongside having your academic subjects listed to log time on, I'd recommend having another subject listed as the course you want to do ie. Law/ Med to track your supercurriculars too :)
if you want to join (which would be awesome) - i'd recommend putting your target course and uni in the chat and update your achieved/predicted grades as they come
miscellaneous
for task tracking I use Tweek, which I do love but I don't like that you have to pay for different colours for tasks so maybe use google sheets
i've become a google calendar warrior, as you can see here
my very busy week (and the schedule I do not follow)
guys i genuinely have a problem with practicing what I preach but I promise i'm going to try for you guys if I can keep it consistent and if anyone has any tips, please hand 'em over 😪
i can't believe that this is actually my future send help guys 😦
lowkey another thing, i've become a Linkedin warrior, it's actually quite concerning but I love the platform it's so cool to connect with successful people in the field you want to go into
sorry about the crazy disheveled nature of the post but I thought I'd just be authentic rather than try keep up the aesthetic posts

It's been so long, I'm so sorry! I was really preoccupied with my studies and then I lowkey forgot about this blog 🙃
Here's a little update on my life so far:
- I've finished my GCSEs!!!
- I've chosen Bio, Chem, RS and Psych for my A-Levels (which I may change + if anyone has done/is currently doing these please reach out to me and tell me how you find them)
- I've done some work experience for medicine and I'm about to do some for law
- Currently on holiday
- I'm looking to start doing some tutoring to make some money 💸
Honestly, I've been chilling it more than I'd like to admit 😇
I've been trying to improve my (nonexistent) skateboarding skills and I've started doing at home pilates because I turned into the biggest couch potato 😞
Waiting for my results is kind of nerve wracking but at the same time I've kind of forgotten about my exams 😪 I genuinely have no idea how I'm gonna find the willpower to go back to school.
Anyways, I'm gonna try to be way more active on here but I need some inspiration on what to write about so I'll ask you guys what you want to see more of! (Poll is active for 1 week so until 1/8/25)
- li 🌙
What type of content do you want to see?
Just casual life updates
Manifesting
Academic (maybe GCSE season recap and study timetable or something?)
with my GCSEs this year, and only a few weeks before back to school, I decided to really lock in yesterday 🫣
so I thought I'd take all the info I've come across while scrolling through studytok and put it into a little post for everyone looking to improve in their studies (& for my benefit as well 🙈)
motivation
this is probably the biggest factor when it comes to locking into your studies, motivation can quite literally make or break your academic achievements (😦)
so, its very important you motivate yourself, and moreover, stay motivated 😭
i've made it sound daunting but motivating yourself is lowkey easier than you think, here's a few ways to do it:
picturing yourself in 10 years, where all your studying and hard work has paid off - you can't be that person without doing the work that they did 😬
you can also do the opposite of the above - imagine how disappointed you'll be if you didn't work as hard as you could have and failed
"revenge studying" - the most toxic yet probably the most widely effective technique - working hard so you can beat than the people who are better than you
make studying aesthetic - create pinterest boards, look at quotes and tiktoks, make success your greatest desire
make it an addiction - if you're bored? study. had a bad day? nothing like setting yourself up for the best future. having a great day? go make it better by making yourself smarter.
get a motivational study app - i LOVE 'Study Bunny' I've been using it for two days now and it genuinely motivates me to be more productive to keep my bunny happy 🙃
resources
obviously, you need some help where you can get it despite all the controversies surrounding studying and the use of the internet, there are some amazing online resources you can use that will actively help you 📚
Quizlet/Anki - both of these flashcard platforms are incredibly useful - Quizlet is a fun platform and you can search for flashcards made by other people - Anki, in my opinion, is better than Quizlet for memorising, and you can import flashcards from Quizlet.
Mindnote - A mindmap making software online, a user-friendly interface + is quick and easy to make them - Great for visual learners
YouTube - the teachers on YouTube are incredibly helpful and can explain any topics you're confused about very quickly and very thoroughly
Spark Notes - great for English literature, with in-depth analysis of your texts and modern translations
Physics & Maths Tutor - free past papers and topic questions for core subjects and a few others, great for active recall
Study Bunny/Flora - helps keep track of your progress and keeps you motivated, I recommend Study Bunny because I can see how much work I've done of each subject and tick off things on my checklist
these are just a few out of many other resources so go do some of your own research, especially if there are websites that help with a specific subject
techniques
different study techniques work best for different people, no technique is a one-size-fits-all, some people are visual learners, others perform best by memorising & etc.
active recall - the only one-size-fits-all method - is a cognitive function that you carry out to remember things in tests, so practising this is a must -> the best way to do this is by completing topic questions and past papers using minimal amounts of notes. basically just testing yourself before the actual test
Spaced-out revision - one of the best ways to make sure things stick in your mind, revise a topic/subject and revisit it every few days, eg. 1, 3, 5, 9, 15, 30; and by the 30-day mark it should be stuck in your mind because your brain believes its something that you need to know in the long run and stores it in your long term memory
Flashcards - great to memorise content for the test, especially subjects that are tested with orals
Scribble method - scribbling on a piece of paper while revising the content in any form, reading, listening, etc. helps your brain store the information you're consuming more effectively
Feynman method - basically just explaining the topic you're revising to someone, this helps you develop your understanding and catches out any areas you're unsure about to revise later
making mindmaps - this is great for visual learners, especially if you use different colours for each section of the map so that you can associate each concept with each colour and recall them easily
again, those are just a few that come to mind. do your own research and find out what works best for you 😇
while studying
knowing how to study effectively is also a crucial aspect of success (obviously) 🤭
here are a few tips:
don't listen to music with lyrics, instead you can listen to lofi tracks, cafe/library asmr, brown noise, jazz music (my favourite)
set yourself a study slot, like 2 hours every day at a specific time & set a focus filter on your phone for the duration of your study time
make an aesthetic/cute study space so you can enjoy your time in that space and it doesn't feel like a chore
get a whiteboard to make learning more interactive & fun
light a specific candle whenever you're studying so your brain knows to associate the scent with working
have regular breaks eg. every half hour for 5-10 mins
reward yourself afterwards, so you associate studying with a good experience
consistency is key, the more you study the easier & more fun it becomes 🙃
the more you study the more you are likely to succeed and fulfil your dreams ✨
remember though, academics is not everyone's thing:
"you cannot judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree"
everyone is good at something, and it doesn't make anyone lesser or greater 🫶
soo first of all i think its helpful if you get a gist of what hair type you have, e.g 2c, 3b, 4b etc...
its not mandatory and doesn't really mean anything but like it definitely aids when you're looking for haircair & inspo with hairstyles and haircuts and all that jazz 🤗 [ <- jazz hands :) ]
here's a chart to help you
obviously do some of your own research if you're unsure- this isn't very in-depth and doesn't use irl examples
also keep in mind that you can have multiple, and a wide range of types on one head LOLL like mine ranges from 2C -> 3C 🫣
(PS: this guide will be tailored to type 2 -> 3 hair just because that's what I have experience with and don't want to potentially ruin anyone's type 4 hair 😭 but if aspects of this apply then feel free to apply them 😇)
wash day routine + products
alrighty so i see some overcomplication/people being scared of curly hair washing- like looking at porosity and whatnot but IMO its really not that difficult
the only thing you really need to worry about for the washing aspect is getting moisturising (curly recommended) shampoo & conditioner, just cause if you don't it could dry out your hair and have a pretty dodgy finished product 😬 (I use Umberto Giannini for this)
washing is pretty standard:
wet your hair thoroughly, so that no part is dry
shampoo round 1, make sure to scrub thoroughly to get rid of any dirt and grime 🙈
rinse
shampoo round 2, this should turn your hair into its own bubble bath 🫧
rinse
condition, rake through your hair and make sure it is everywhere
let sit for a little bit, ~2 mins maybe
rinse
and thats it :))
don't use a regular towel, use a microfiber towel if you're using one at all so that all the moisture isn't drained from your hair before the rest of the products
now for the curly hair routine:
start with leave-in conditioner and run it through the entirety of your hair - I use Garnier leave-in, like the big tub
then run some curl cream through your hair and scrunch it in, make sure there is an even application throughout all the hair - I use the Shea Moisture curl cream
~ this next bit is optional because its a gel cast + styling but honestly id totally recommend going the extra mile for it cause it holds your curls for longer and makes ur hair softer ~
apply curly gel to your hair and scrunch it in, I use Aussie curl gel
for styling, I take the middle -> top sections of my hair, take some extra gel and finger coil the curls
let your hair air dry or diffuse
once completely dry, take some hair oil and scrunch it through your hair and separate any coils, I use argan oil
then you're done :))
regular hair care
there isnt really much to say here tbh
only that
if you need to refresh your curls, you should be able to do it just by finger-coiling with water
DON'T brush your hair while dry, it causes breakage
if you sweat, your hair will most likely get frizzy
to tie your hair use a scrunchie
sleeping with a bonnet helps reduce frizz but icl I don't 🫣
hair styles + cuts
okay let me preface this section by saying PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEE do some research about curly stylists in your area, I promise it will be worth it because curly hair cutting requires special training (despite the fact we've probably all cut our hair ourselves at some point 🙈)
now here are some things I usually ask for in a haircut:
a trim off the edges to keep my hair healthy (I have hair down past my shoulders)
2 or 3 layers to keep volume around my head so it doesn't look like a flat landslide...
some long bangs at the front to frame my face
obviously thats just me so do some extra research and see what you'd like
not much, but here are some hairstyles i usually do for everyday wear:
hair down (obviously 🤗)
high ponytail/bun with a few curls at the front
half up half down with a few curls at the front
thats basically all the basics 🙃
i know its hard to start on a curly hair journey especially if you don't know what you're doing, so if you are (or aren't) i hope this was able to help you in some shape or form 🫶🤗
hii! i thought I would post a beginner's guide to manifestation, for people who are still new to the idea of it/want a thorough, contextualised explanation 🤗
manifestation is not something people necessarily struggle with, however, grasping concepts about it and misconceptions surrounding it can make it a little difficult for those who are just starting out.
if I could simplify manifesting down to a single sentence, it would be:
"If you can believe it, you can have it."
it's really as simple as that, manifesting is all about believing 😇
I don't know if anyone else had this experience, but when I was a kid, around 7-12, I used to manifest without even knowing what it was; I would just believe that I was going to achieve something that was , there was no uncertainty about it, and then, I would! 🤩
(I manifested a spot in a competition abroad when I was 10 🫣)
Over time, as my confidence in myself faded, this occurrence would happen far less frequently which goes to show that its all about your confidence and belief 💥
This is gonna sound like something straight out of mlp 😭 but you just need to believe in urself and the universe will conform to allow everything you want to be yours 🙈
some basic guidelines
* CIRCUMSTANCE DOESN'T MATTER
no, it doesn't matter if you're trying to get an ex back, or win the lottery, or convince your parents (who've been putting it off) to get a dog. manifesting is taking your life into your own hands and controlling it. your life is a movie and you're the director of it.
now, majority of people get into manifesting when they are curious about manifesting SPs, but coincidentally, it is also the concept that people struggle with the most because of the concern of free will or circumstances, but really neither of those two things matter.
* DON'T GET AFFECTED BY THE 3D
the 4D is the dimension that allows you to live the life that you would live while having what you are manifesting. as long as you are aware of what you're manifesting, just visualise yourself living in this reality and feel all the emotions and fulfilment you would while living in that ideal reality, this will allow you to reach the state of having, which I will get onto later in the post
the 3D is the dimension you experience physically, but it does not get to dictate what is yours and what will be yours; that is what the 4D does, it controls the 3D, and lucky for you, you control the 4D!
if you're manifesting an SP and you see that person posting with another person of interest, don't start sulking and feeling sorry for yourself thinking that its over for you, that's shooting yourself in the foot. what you do is you think "that's cool, but they're happier with me", that way you're not getting affected by the 3d and conveying your message to the 4D, which will relay it back to the 3D, and then your 3D will conform to it.
* "EVERYONE IS YOU PUSHED OUT" & LAW OF ASSUMPTION
you see this saying, Everyone is You Pushed Out, a lot in the manifesting community, and it might seem like an intimidating concept but its something that you experience in your day to day life anyways 😦
for example, you know when you've heard something about someone which changes your perception of them, and suddenly their persona suddenly conforms to your changed perception? that's the law of EIYPO in action!
the Law of Assumption is essentially the same concept but in a more general state, like your life as a whole, eg. manifesting a better grade or job or paycheck 💸
however, the way I see it, the results of manifesting are the results of other people's actions. for example, if you're manifesting a better grade, you yourself are the person that your manifestations are affecting, you'll retain information better and apply your knowledge properly in a test; if you're manifesting a job, your manifestations are affecting the person who had the position before to move, and the person who is hiring to be inclined to hire you; and the same concept applies to when manifesting an SP, your manifestations are affecting your SP to have more positively correlated feelings towards you.
so you can use these concepts to help you in your manifestations, particularly in the SP context: if you believe that they are attracted to you, it'll only be a matter of time before they will be.
* THE STATE OF HAVING, NOT DESIRING
considering this is arguably one of the most important aspects of manifesting. it is what brings manifestations to fruition
in simple terms, there are two objective states of being when manifesting:
The state of having
The state of wanting
The state of having is what you experience when you allow yourself to live in the 4D (the 4th dimension, where your goals are reality) and feel the fulfilment that you would feel while living the life you are manifesting. Affirmations like "I am paid incredibly well", "That job is mine", "They are attracted to me" will help you in achieving this mindset. This feeling is your biggest helper when it comes to applying the Law of Assumption/EIYPO in practice! It is you knowing you have what you want and allowing the universe to do the rest for you.
The state of wanting is when you are stuck feeling like you still crave what you are manifesting, not feeling like it is secured in your possession. This can leave you plateaued and doubts can slow down your manifesting. Affirmations like "I will be paid well", "That job will be mine", "They will be attracted to me" pose the question 'WHEN?'
Now don't take this as a, "If I doubt, my manifestation won't come true" because we all have doubts, even the greatest manifesters, but what is important is that your doubts do not stop your state of having being affected. As long as in the 4D you know it is yours, the 3D will conform to make it yours.
Here's a quote that helps me acheive the state of having
"You want it so badly because you already have it in the future"
simplified tutorial :)
many people have the question, "how?"
there isn't any set way, but honestly, the state of having is the essence of manifesting, if you can remain in the state of having, you can achieve your goal.
now that isn't to say that if you're not in that state, thinking about it 24/7, your goal wont manifest, but rather, if in the background of your mind, you have a feeling of knowing it is yours and not panicking about it, it will happen.
if someone asks, "hey, what's your job?" you'd reply with your current job, but in your mind you'd know that your dream job was what you actually worked as. this example highlights the difference between the 3D and the 4D and how not to let your 3D affect your state while still living in the 4D.
techniques like robotic affirmations, visualising and different manifestation methods (3,6,9 method, letter method, etc.) can help you reach the state of having and manifesting. there are so many different techniques you can find!
it really all comes down to how I described manifesting earlier, believing it is achieving it.
hopefully this was helpful for you whether you're completely new to manifesting or you just wanted some clarification and concepts :))
