truly some people have no genre savviness whatsoever. i think understanding the family as a system of ownership over both women and children will lead you to understand both misogyny and the oppression of children a lot better and also be able to draw informative parallels between both

I do believe that a not insignificant portion of the (specifically cishet male, not that other demographics are not capable of inflicting harm but this demographic is the most common statistically) population are sex pests in some capacity but I also know the reason politicians keep having sexual misconduct scandals is because sexual predators flock to politics. It isn’t random. It isn’t because soooooo many evil people love to levy rape allegations against men in their prime. It is because people who love the sensation of having power over others seek out careers where they can do just that. Law enforcement, armed forces, religious leaders, politicians. These are also careers where they know they will be able to use their power to avoid the social ramifications of their actions and silence the voices of their victims. Of course it happens over and over and over again and of course no one does anything about it, the system is designed for them.

the bad thing about having unhealthy habits due to mental illness, is when you DO do something healthy style you can't brag about about it because then people will then know you've been doing it yucky style all along. Like you can't brag you changed your sheets or brushed your teeth because then ppl will be like oh did you not brush your teeth regularly before? Thats yucky disgusting! I know I already made a post to this effect but it's so baffling to me when someone defends the fact that headphone jacks are slowly but surely getting phased out by smartphone manufacturers with some variations of "wireless headphones are more convenient anyway" bc like. If we're talking about convenience what I like about wired headphones is that they conveniently have a single plug that makes the same damn pair of headphones universally compatible with every single audio-output-capable device I own, from my phone and my computer to my fucking gameboy and my casette player, it doesn't get any more convenient than that.
