    teeth    grind    together    as    her    jaw    clenches    .    .    .    eyes    narrowing    as    if    that    were    enough    to    inflict    bodily    harm    on    the    man    that    now    stood    behind    daphne.        she    was    used    to    the    random    gossip    &   misconstrued    ideas,    river    heights    had    been    the    cause    of    many    now    dispelled    rumors    revolving    her    .    .    .    coolsville    seemed    to    hold    no    drastic    difference    (    the    only    plus    side    was    that    she    was    free    of    the    whispers    a    certain    drew    invoked    anytime    her    presence    was    made    known    ).        while    there    was    doubt    he    meant    the    malice    that    lay    underneath    something    said    in    quick    wit,    a    flash    of    ire    had    her    brows    raised    &   a    willingness    to    fight    bubbling    barely    under    the    surface.        the    two    shared    a    friendship    along    with    their    group    that    almost    too    closely    reminded    her    of    what    had    existed    back    home    (    doomed    to    remain    on    the    outskirts    looking    in    ).
