Backgrounds are nearly done, just some finishing touches to go, then I can start messing around with them in aftereffects,

Lately I've been figuring out how I would make the final scene, where the camera zooms out to reveal a spinning city-globe. After a few trial and error attempts, I found out that it was more straight forward to make a 3d model of the globe using maya.

Production is well underway, a storyboard has been made so theres a concrete structure to follow now. On track with more backgrounds to be brought to life in aftereffects. The first half of the background art is pretty much done, with only some finishing touches to go. The real challenge will be in the second half of the storyboard when theres more buildings onscreen. 

I feel like I have nailed down what the final film will look like, I plan to use photoshop for the artwork and then aftereffects to animate. Now to get painting!

Initial development drawings. I took alot of inspiration from old German expressionist prints, keeping them monochromatic or stylised might look good. I might try some colour though. 

Central is a short film where the main idea is to distort and warp a cityscape. Heres some Initial research and moodboards to help figure out what kind of direction I'd like to take
