Starting your own business can be a rewarding experience. The first motivation is always the unlimited income one can get in business. While some may choose to go into business as a supplement to current income, others do for their primary income-generating activity. It is rewarding in the sense that it can be the means to financial freedom and of freedom in many other terms. Being your own boss, not being tied up to a daily 8 to 5 schedule and having more time for your family are definitely among the perks of having your own business. Providing jobs and being a part in helping others are also motivating. Of course it’s not always an easy path especially at the beginning but for those who try diligently to make it work, success will and do come. With a good business idea and the right skills, anyone can go into business. Many build from their passion or hobby and strengths, and others with the knowledge and confidence they gain from experience. In the case of David M. Decker, it came out of the three. With his passion and strength in sales backed up by his successful employment experience, David Decker gained the confidence to co-found Complete Merchant Solutions, a provider of electronic payment processing solutions based in Provo, Utah, U.S.A. Mr. Decker had previously worked for a large agent office connected to Wells Fargo Bank as a Vice President of Sales.  While there he contributed in the company’s growth and expansion before going on his own. That was about three years ago. With the help of others, David built up the business which grew fast and even became one of the top startups to watch in Utah in its first year. Today he enjoys a successful company. Complete Merchant Solutions has become one of the fastest growing merchant acquirers in the United States. David Decker of Utah successfully worked as VP of Sales for a large agent office of 1st National Processing which is affiliated with Wells Fargo Bank. During his stint there he played a main role in the growth of the company from two local sales offices to 11 across seven states including almost 50 outside sales agents and over 40 inside sales agents. His leadership also helped to increase new merchant accounts from 800 to 1,000 per month. With that success and background experience, Dave Decker ventured out into business by co-founding an electronic payments processing solutions company. Together with Trever Hansen and Kyle Hall, David Decker co-founded Complete Merchant Solutions. Currently, Mr. Decker is a managing partner in the business in charge of leading the company in its strategic direction.
