What a fun that was our final Nutcracker with @colorado.ballet. Dana and I aren’t retiring yet not until end of April so still more dancing to be done 🤩 but this was our last Nutcracker ever after decades of doing this ballet. The amount of love and support we got from the audience and also from our colleagues backstage was overwhelming. I truly couldn’t think of a better place for me to finish my career than here with Colorado Ballet. I feel so loved. Thank you!!! Today I said goodbye to the ballet The Nutcracker as I danced it for the last time, this ballet which without doubt it is the ballet I’ve performed the most through my career. From 1999-2022 I danced the role of the Prince (or Cavalier how we call it here in the US) debuting at 20 on it with English National Ballet dancing it today for the last time at 43 😅 So grateful for all the beautiful partners that I got to share the stage with in this ballet. Thank you! On my way back to the US. I had the best time this past week here in Helsinki teaching class and coaching Nutcracker to the wonderful dancers of @oopperabaletti_dancers and seeing two different casts perform Cranko’s Romeo&Juliet. Thank you to @jtorrescontemporaryballet for having me over to work with this wonderful company and thank you everyone that made me feel so welcomed. Last night’s opening night of Dracula. It was so fun being back on stage especially with such a masterpiece like Michael Pink’s Dracula. Thanks Michael for this gift. Huge thanks to my partner @christophor_moulton, Mr Dracula himself for partnering me. I loved every second of it. Congratulations everyone on a sold out production and on a very successful opening night.
