Not to encourage a scam kickstarter or anything but I think that tumblr's Clown Husbandry meme (and related offshoots like Knight and Wizard Husbandry) would be a great basis for a cozy game with some horror elements.
Like, you the player have inherited your semi-estranged Grandmother's Clown Ranch via her will. Disillusioned with the corporate drone lifestyle you take a trip out to see the place, and while it's definitely seen better days and has fallen into such disrepair that there aren't even many clowns left there, you smell opportunity and decide to revitalize the ranch and live the Clown Husbandry Life!
Your first clown is a Rodeo Clown inherited from your Grandma, the only clown she had left, and the ranch starts out with some obvious farming game themes borrowed from the likes of Stardew Valley and Story of Seasons. But as you progress you can customize the ranch depending on what kinds of clown you favor, and the actual mechanics have more theme park and zoo sim than farming elements.
Build enrichment for the clowns and attractions for the humans to come and socialize with them. Adopt your clowns out to good homes for humble profits, or make a mint by selling them for higher profit to more questionable buyers. Train your clowns to help increase the ranch's income via shows, parties, and festivals, or hone their skills as hunters and thieves and send them to loot the nearby city.
Different clowns have different inclinations and abilities, and you can breed them for more specialized traits down the line. As the story progresses you can unlock various Clown Dimensions where wild clowns roam, these dimensions are all suffering from some hardship though. Help them with their problems to access new clown types and functions, such as humanely releasing unwanted clowns, traveling to new markets to put on shows, or pleasing the Clown Gods to receive blessings.
Watch out for the Scary Clown breeds in the wild (think Pennywise). They can and will kill you if given the chance, but a skilled enough Clown expert may be able to tame even the most terrifying of encounters, and perhaps find room on their ranch for these misfit predators...
And then ideally there are sequels where you do the same thing but with Knights or Wizards or Henchmen or etc.

I found Some new products I found at the grocery store, I tired some of them myself and I they taste great and seem to be made in a authentic fashion. I recommend these to those who don’t mind clown made products, I’ll have to see if I can get the recipe or make my own from scratch… Butni have to say the Goof Cones are my favorite so far.
Because of the local poaching n my area I decided to quickly make a note: Yes, Clown Hunting is allowed IF you have a liscense for the proper breed that is not endangered or is already overpopulated. Make sure you take every piece you can so it doesn’t go to waste for the local wildlife to find, the sugar isn’t good for them. And make sure it’s a quick and clean hit, the poaching reports I’ve been reading these last few monthes from the rescues are just sad. Sorry I’ve been gone for so long but I should be back.

My neighbor has started claiming that her clown is her newborns father, should I be worried?
I would be, i mean Clowns and humans aren't supposed to be able to be reproduce but i have heard rumors of it happening, again RUMORS. Breeders try their best to make sure people and their clowns don't end up in those situations but sometimes...people have their kinks. If your neighbor is telling the truth then i would examine the newborn closely and report it to the CDC. If its just her fetishizing then i say let her have her beliefs but see what condition the clown is in.
Hi there! I recently adopted my first clown, and I'm very confused about the breed. The clown has a little crown and a very puffy onesie on and is about 4 inches in height. Its main color scheme is black, ivory, green, and purple. The weird part is that it's a humanoid black cat with a third eye painted on its forehead. It has fuzzy paws but lacks fur on the face and is painted black instead. It only squeaks to communicate instead of honking.
I was thinking of a Mardi Gras Jester mix based on the colors and its love for climbing, but I can't be too sure. I've heard of cat-clowns but thought they went extinct.
It also seems to like cream filled donuts? I'm very confused.
There are some clown breeds that are more anthromorphic in appearance. Normally they are hybrids or descendants of a mixed bloodline. This one sounds like it has some Carnival in its genes because of its love for climbing which gives me a acrobat vibes as for its taste for cream filled donuts, then again a lot of Party clowns do. But Party clowns and Carnival are close cousins so no surprise. The black is where I’m stuck because the mentioned breeds rarely have any black and are very colorful, only few breeds have black on them: Scare, Sad, Jester, Hobo etc. This one maybe just a descendant of a lot of mixes
Can someone explain the Clown Husbandry side of tumblr for a beginner? I literally just saw a video on YouTube about it and now I wanna get into it, it reminds me of animal husbandry abit! This is a genuine question, not meant to be part of the husbandry itself, I know…Nothing right now-
Clown husbandry is basically just animal husbandry but just for clowns since they are seen as a form of wildlife. Most take them in as pets or even livestock like myself.
So I’m looking into adopting a circus clown and I was just looking at some treats for them. Can anyone tell me if these are good for them? Information is kinda hard to find on clown treats.
Treats like those are perfect, especially for breeds like Carnival or Birthday. They enjoy sweets the most as well as bright color foods even if it’s artificially colored
It’s been a busy couple of days, moving some clowns around and talking with some ‘experts’ on the care of their clowns, but in the end it involved me taking them in. I’ve also been in some talks with buisnesses as well so forgive me for being abit slow. I’ll be making a post later though after I round up a Scare Clown that got out of his tent this morning…

HELP! Clown husbandry!
I have recently found a clown that was was abandoned by a railroad, my first thought was a train clown, but when I went up to it looked more like a birthday due to its coloration. I would usually leave wild clowns alone but due to the closeness to the train tracks I had to check it out, and I’m glad I did. When it saw me approaching it didn’t look scared but it was hiding something. A smaller starving kit, that looked to be no breed I’ve ever seen, with a leash to the tracks! I of course got them both off the tracks but I can imagine why someone would do that!
So right now I’m asking for help on identifying the breed so I can find out who did this.
The adult is very colorful but has very sad face markings, its frill is rather flat and holey. It has short boots and no leg coverings, similar to an acrobat.
The kit has feathers in its hair and a short cape. Very minimal facial markings, mostly around the eyes, and it’s frill is large and poofy. Coloration is more browns and whites with the occasional purple(?). It has heels with bows on them, akin to the subspecies ballerina. I’ve never seen anything like it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
They both sound like mutts, it would make sense if their wild. The adult sounds like a mix of a Sad Clown and a Circus Clown, the face marking show that, While the outfit seems like a Circus since they are more prone to be Acrobatic.
As for the Little One it sounds like a mix of a Jester and a Party Clown. Jesters down have much or if any facial markings are are known for capes and feathers, and a Party Clown are very colorful and tend dance a lot, I’ve seen many who can do Ballet
Hello all, I know it’s been awhile and I apologize for the random absence but some issues came, but I intend to make up for it. hey, i need some help!
my hobo clown and my sad clown are family pets, they've been with my family since my grandparents were kids, and recently their face paint has gotten discolored and splotchy, duller than before. they haven't been acting sick or anything, but they seem more lethargic than usual. is this normal for aging clowns? im worried about them
Sounds like they are just hitting that age, most clowns when they get older started to look alittle faded with their colors and they come across as boring with their acts, when their just tired. I would just give them a check up just incase and give them some extra treats so they know their loved.
Hi!! I was walking around my town recently and found a couple stray clowns hiding in a box on the side of the sidewalk. one looks like a jester/harlequin mix and the other looks like some form of mime mix. they seem to like each other a lot (the jestequin getting really upset when I picked up the mime mix) and so I decided to bring them home to get them out of the rain. do you have any tips on how to care for them? I don't want to have to give them to my nearby shelter as I've grown a great liking to these two.

Interesting pair, but rare to see the two so close in my experience. In my opinion I would get a wide tent full of fruit and some wine (Basic Jester and Harlequin diet, they can get alittle pricey.) As for the Mime mix I suggest some meat and only keep it near the other since they mainly are solitary beings, but if they really are close then they maybe abandoned or may have been abused. I would check them for injuries and illnesses just incase and see if they have their shots, I say keep a eye on them for now.
How exactly do clowns reproduce?
From my experiences they have 2 ways of reproduction:
1 is the basic form, intercourse between a chosen mate that will then nest in a ball pit. Birthing a small clutch of Chucklets (Or Gigglets depending on the breeders choice if term.) that will stay close to the mother until old enough.
The other way is to fertilize a egg a clown will lay once it is in season, once fertilized it will develop a face paint like marking to show it is fertilized and will hatch into a newborn matching the markings.

what are the main breeds of clown? What are their differences?
“Main” Breeds is a hard term to use for us breeders, but for most mainstream owners I would have to say:
Circus
Mime
Jester
Scare
Rodeo
Candy
Pierrot
Sad
Klown
Class
And I’m sure their are others but those are the ones from the top of my head. As for differences that is a lot to cover to fit in one post, that’s why I have been working on posting each breed description, it used to be daily but some issues have been coming up.
what subtypes/species of clown exist? Are there related species?
There are way to many to just list, also considering mix breeds exist as well meaning pretty much all breeds are related to eachother in one way or another. It’s all about the ancestry really.
One of the main reasons why breeding can be tricky since we have to keep track of each breed and their ancestory incase we make a mutt.
