It has been literal years but every time I see Martin’s tweets posted somewhere and his word is shared as truth while her post is not shared it sort of reiterates the fact that we trust men to speak about feminism more than we believe women who experience it.

TME means Transmisogyny exempt and TMA means Transmisogyny affected. Technically it's used to separate transmasc people and others that are "not affected by transmisogyny" and transfem people and others that "are affected by transmisogyny" into groups. For who those terms is used very much varies from person to person, tho they're usually never used in a good way and I doubt they really can be used in a good way. Some use TME for *all* AFAB people , and TMA for *all* AMAB people (which is very obviously stupid). Some even use it for pronounse, I have seen?? Like, I've legit seen a post saying people using it/its pronouns are automatically affected by transmisogyny (TMA), but people using they/them are TME??? Like, what about transfems that use they/them and transmascs that use it/its?? Doesn't that go against the whole being affected by transmisogyny and not being affected by that?? Like okay let me change my pronouns and now I'm magically (not) affected! /sarc

It's just a really weird way to put people into boxes, and on top of that it's intersexist and exorsexist in quite a few ways. For example TMA/TME being used for the sex you were born with/assigned gender at birth, like nonbinary people get grouped into "boy nonbinary" and "girl nonbinary" (which.. is not how that works??), and I'm not even mentioning how intersex, contradictory label, and multigender people get just absolutely fucked by it. I will reblog quite a few more posts, so maybe you'll get a better idea of all this, and I also recommend looking through the transandrophobia tag a bit. Or at blogs about transandrophobia, like we just reblogged a post from @/transmisandrysucks, which we think is a good blog and gives you an idea about TMA/TME, and also serves as a blocklist if needed.
