Brilliant koi carp packaging suits this luxury sake perfectly, design by BULLET Inc.
Fishing Recluse by an Autumn Grove (秋林漁隱圖), Sheng Mao, 1368, Art Institute of Chicago: Asian Art
This painting bears a spurious signature of the Yuan dynasty painter Sheng Mou , is likely a 17th-century wholesale recreation of a recorded original of the same title and date done by Sheng Mou for the 14th-century poet Lu Pu. As such, the painting evidences the attention that Sheng Mou’s work attracted in the early 17th century, and references in the spurious inscriptions a network of recorded and transmitted paintings seemingly created in imitation of the same original. While the brushwork is related to known 17th-century painting styles, the subject matter and composition of this painting do homage to compositions associated with the work of Sheng Mou. Nickerson Fund Size: 102.8 × 34.9 cm (40 ½ × 13 ¾ in.) Medium: Hanging scroll, ink and color on paper

We interviewed @ito_chiekosan for the first time for Issue 025 in 2019. Back then, Ito Chieko shared regarding obstacles she has encountered as an artist: “Childbirth and moving home both changed my life considerably, and there was a long time when I could not switch over into a mindset of creating work and make any new pieces. However, in 2017 when I held a solo show for the first time in five years, I realized again how much I need to make work and present it to the people. I’m still limited now in my time and what I can do, but my desire to make work is – on the contrary – even stronger than before I had a child. Even though the number of works I can make is limited, I want to give each individual work as much impact as possible and devote my full attention to creating it.” Two years after the artist just wrapped up another solo show at @gallerytatsuya. posted on Instagram - https://instagr.am/p/CRiESTSB7Iu/
