Corner of Cloud & Ninth

Yesterday afternoon, I saw I had a missed call and a voicemail from a number I didn't know.  When I listened to it, it was Z104 telling me that I had won lunch for me and a guest (along with other winners) to eat lunch and have a small performance and Q&A session with PHILLIP PHILLIPS!!  He was SO good. He sang Gone, Gone, Gone for us.  I took my friend Katie with me :)  Katie asked him about his favorite songs on his album, and I asked him if he had any crazy concert stories...he had crazy stories but none that he could share with us because they were too weird he said.  We were all also handed an 8x10 photo of him that he had signed! Such a great keepsake.  In the Q&A he was asked who his favorite American Idol judge was, and he said Steven Tyler because he was a weird dude.  Also, he saw my camera that I was using, and he said, "Nikonnnnnn" before we shook hands, hahahaha.

As we were leaving the radio station, we saw Phillip get into a Hyundai Sonata. Normal car. He was the passenger and there were a few other people in the car.  We waved to him as we were leaving the parking lot, but he wasn't looking at us at all.

As we were stopped at a stoplight down the road, I said, "Oh my God Katie he is right behind us."  WE WERE DRIVING AND PHILLIP PHILLIPS WAS BEHIND US! A little farther down the road, they started to pass us so we waved, and he waved and made goofy faces back at us!!  So unforgettable and so starstruck!

TAYLOR SWIFT

This was probably the best night of my life.  I am still on cloud nine after this one, and it's been 3 months.  I went with Anna, Ross, and Ashton.  We had nosebleed seats but could still see perfectly fine.  Anna wanted to go and walk around the stadium so I went with her.  We played some games that Keds and Taylor Swift fragrances had set up.  

We played a game where you have to pick either Taylor's "Wonderstruck" fragrance bottle or "Enchanted" fragrance bottle on an iPad.  I chose a bottle and unfortunately it wasn't a winner.  We decided to go through again and have Anna try it out.  ANNA PICKED THE RIGHT ONE AND WE WON THE LAST PAIR OF PIT PASSES!  

We went from the nosebleeds up to the FRONT ROW AREA.  Unbelievable. I am so thankful she and I were able to share that experience together.  We still talk about it. A lot.

While in the pit, I saw Taylor's brother and met her dad!  I gave him an awkward hug, and I gave him 2 letters with Bucky Badger key chains inside them..one for Taylor and one for Ed Sheeran. 

This was made possible by my nagging and those who voted for me :)  I posted a photo of myself in Kenya, and my friends and family were able to vote for me on UWCU's Facebook page.  I came in second overall, and I won a hotel gift card, Visa gift card, and gas gift card.  I still have yet to decide where to use it!

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE!  I went with Katie and Bridget.  Bridget won meet and greet passes and was so sweet and gave them to me since I was so excited! BEST NIGHT!

Luckily got to meet this guy 3 times!  He now plays for the Denver Broncos.  I'll also always remember when I was working at the Kohl Center, and Nick Toon came to my gate and I asked if I could give him a hug!

In the spring of 2011, I won VIP concert tickets to see Train at the Washington County Fair!  It was a great show, Ross and I had great seats, and I even touched Pat, the lead singer :).  This pretty much started my Z104 power trip that is still currently happening.

I've been to countless concerts and have enjoyed every single one of them!  I have seen Kelly Clarkson right after she won American Idol, Josh Gracin at the Rock County Fair, Switchfoot, Owl City twice, Jonas Brothers twice, Nick Jonas solo once, Flogging Molly, Shinedown, Three Days Grace, Thompson Square, and The Band Perry.  I know I'm probably even forgetting some!  Here are some photos from these :) Enjoy!

So I decided instead of posting all of my super fun experiences and opportunities that I have onto Facebook, I will write out my story as a blog post, and share the blog post on Facebook for anyone who wants to read it.

I have been on Cloud Nine so many times in my life, and I am so appreciative and thankful that I get to be blessed with so many amazing opportunities.  Even more appreciative when I get to share those things with people around me.
