I used to be so self-critical of my appearance, as you may have seen if you've been following me for a long time. I'm so proud to know that I look in the mirror every day and I no longer feel disheartened or angry that I'm not perfect -- I feel proud of every part of me, from my skin tone, to my thighs, to my larger-than-desirable chest. Realizing my purpose and desires in this world don't equivocate to the need for a perfect body has really set me free from dictating myself, and I know I am a healthy person. I eat vegetables and superfoods then turn around and eat chicken and waffles. I am a flawed, anxiety-ridden, queer, curvy woman, and I know I am beautiful. 🌈 (at Phoenix, Arizona)
