Have you answered what female characters you like in Naruto? Im baised ngl but Konan and Ino, loved her in part 1 shes such a good friend, and even though she doesn’t appear much in part 2(not that she appeared much in p1 anyway), for a side character she definitely got some time.
In Boruto i only see some panels but damn i love her.
Oh also!! Tsunade. I mean cmon, imo shes the best out of all female characters in Naruto😭
Anyhow my final answer would be Konan (though not as much, i still love a badass character), Ino, and Tsunade:3
I think I answered one ask a while back about fav girls, but I can revisit! Lemme preface by saying I have not read the manga in full, which I think is a huge caviat for characters like Sakura. I find it a little difficult to evaluate them as much because unfortunately we don't get as much back story on most the women :(
Long post but a paragraph each for my fav girls Sakura Tsunade and Konan + a lil extra
Sakura in the manga as far as I understand is much kinder to Naruto in Shippuden, but I think even in the anime her and Naruto have a really nice relationship. They both care about Sasuke and want to be ninja who change the world for the better, but I think she's less of a dreamer than Naruto is. She's brave, smart, and headstrong and willing to put herself on the line to help others. She's not as egotistical as the boys and can play the role she needs to and actually follow a plan/directions. She's also deeply caring and wants to be able to protect people both through training her strength and being able to perform medical ninjutsu. I think she's a really important part of team 7 (especially in Shippuden, they're all kinda annoying kids in the original lol) she's such a good balance for Naruto and whoever else they have to interact with, like she kinda reads like the big sister who looks out for her spazzy little brother lol. I think she's a bit misguided in her approach to helping Sasuke. To me it reads that she, being a pragmatic person, chooses the greatest good over her own personal feelings, and decides she has to try to kill Sasuke to avoid war or further complications from him being a rouge shinobi. I think she probably holds guilt that she wasn't enough to turn him from his path of vengeance and self annihilation, and in a way wanted to try to end his suffering. But also I don't think she could really do it, because she holds out hope that he can still come back. I don't ship them at all even a little, and in my mind her love for him would grow into deeply platonic because I think she would be a good support and friend to him.
Tsunade and Konan are definitely up there for me as well. I think Tsunade is probably one of the most well explored female characters. I think she comes from such a heavy linage, being like the last of the Senju as far as we know, granddaughter of the God of Shinobi, and blessed with some of his healing abilities. I think she was probably raised surrounded by high expectations of who she should be, and a lot of pressure. Sadly we don't know ANYTHING about Hashirama's children/her parents, but we know Hashirama spoiled her so I like to think he himself wouldn't have pressured her much, but society at large would have. She grows up without the aspiration to be a leader, and instead wants to support her brother and Dan towards those positions. Of course things go bad and she experiences the horrors of war with the other Sanin, and they all seem to part ways and go down very different paths after that. Orochimaru becomes obsessed with self improvement, Jiraiya is a dreamer who has a gentle and free spirit and a prophecy to fulfill, and Tsunade is left without direction and only loss. So she does whatever feels good. She abandons that painful world and drinks her days away until she given a reason to care again, and when push comes to shove she steps into that role with renewed purpose and I think she's probably the best Hokage. She's fair and strong minded and doesn't bow to convention. She's not afraid to break rules when she thinks they're not helpful, and has a good judge of character. I think she tries her best but is still a perpetrator of the shinobi folly of using her child soldiers, and puts too much responsibility on them but also thats like the whole model of shonen anime and is part for the course lolol 😂 the amount of times "all the jonin" are out and they have to call in the kids is a little ridiculous but thats the series
Konan is very different. She also holds more of a supporting role (but to be fair I think everyone in Naruto is fully driven by their bonds to others) but she doesn't step out of that shadow, but from that shadow she has a reserved perseverance that I loved in her character. She's so smart and so kind hearted but she's not naive. She belived so deeply in Yahiko's dream that became her and Nagato's that they pursued it well beyond his death. I think she's also deeply loyal both to her ideals and Nagito that even when faced with his choices she didn't agree with she chose to stay by his side and see his vision through. I think she loved deeply and with conviction and would support Nagito and Yahiko to whatever end, but once she was free of those ties she made her last choice in service to the Akatsuki- which meant so much to all of them; and was corrupted by Obito/Madara/Zetsu. It still pisses me off that Obito got away from that fight basically unscathed because she read him like a book at a point when no one else knew almost anything about him and she planned for every contingency to end his life except for the stupid ass reality writing eyeball power. Whatever. I still tear up every time her little paper flies home with Jiraiya Nagito and Yahiko 😭😭😭
I wish we got more from characters like Anko too. I think she could have had really interesting interactions with Sasuke from her experiences with Orochimaru but we never got that afaik :(
Ino is also so underrated especially in how effortlessly funny she is, like her in any scene she's in she tells it like it is. Shes the girl in cookie moster pajama pants who can FIGHT and protects her little gay bestie. But she needs to stop bullying Choji lol, everyone does. He's so sweet he's not cut out for this life 😭

Whatdya think of Kakashi? I know you post some art of him, but like on a more deep discussion of his character do you like him?
Reading the manga i can’t bring myself to like him, at best im okay with him. He’s so hypocritical, and while i usually am able to sympathize with characters who have backstories explaining why they may act a certain way, i can’t with him. The way he constantly self inserts into team 7, constantly “holding” himself accountable and apologizing yet doing the opposite of what he says later on..
Then again, he is a child soldier by definition, thus i understand why he acts that way, it’s inevitable. He went through a lot with his dad, then with Obito and rin.. you can’t really blame him. Even with all that, i can’t help but dislike him, or at best be neutral towards him until a scene of him being an ass comes on 😀
I like Kakashi! But I think he's complex, and if were being serious about his character like many characters in Naruto I think his specific traumas drive him to behave in contradicting ways that are sometimes not the best or most helpful.
I think he has an immense amount of survivors guilt, alongside deep rooted behavioral patterns carved by his early abandonment due to the suicide of his father. Everyone in his formative years was killed in one way or another by being a ninja, yet its the only thing he knows how to be, and he is exceptional at it. He was rewarded for his suffering with more responsibility and more lives under his care. Death was the most constant companion yet it could never take him, despite him putting himself in harms way to protect others over and over again waiting for his turn.
I can never forgive Minato for noticing Kakashi struggling intently with the PTSD of his friends and father's death and instead of taking him out of the field or maybe. Idk being parental in any way towards him he put him on assignment to be alone and guard Kushina from the shadows. Months on end of being alone watching Minato and Kushina prepare to be a happy family with a child who eventually he would once again be responsible for. After they die. Another mentor gone.
I think he is honestly a very.... realistic.... father figure to team 7. He wants them to survive but he only knows how to being them up in his world. He's hard on them to give them the skills to hopefully make it yet he tries to shield them from the worst of it. He sees himself and his friends in those kids and he thinks he knows how that story ends but he can't change it.
I think he sees so much of himself and Obito in Sasuke that he tries his best to empower him while also trying to tell Sasuke that revenge is a dead end, and he's seen what it does to people, but sometimes you have to let your kids fuck up and learn for themselves. He did fail Sasuke in a lot of ways I think but he himself had no scaffolding on how to build a better life or how to raise a happier child. Sasuke was also doomed, and would have required so so much more than Kakashi was capable of giving him to even possibly set him on a different path.
He also keeps so much of his true self inside. He maintains a nonchalant jokey exterior, which I think is a glimpse at the man he could/wants to be but he's weighed down by his reality. He shrugs off terrible injuries and intense exhaustion with little jokes because he doesn't want to be a burden. Using the sharingan hospitalizes him for days or weeks from how much of a burden it is on his body to use yet he forces himself to stay useful in battle for as long as it takes.
I will say it annoys me that in the series kakashi is not consistently strong like he's only ever as strong or as weak as he needs to be to make a fight interesting lol
So yeah every character in Naruto should have been hugged and cared for as a child much more and they were all forced to grow up way too early in way too violent of an environment and it makes them not the best at everything but he's also my baby girl and I love him 🙂↕️🫶
