I decided to take this post to talk a little about myself and my interests!

I’m a college student from the Mid-Atlantic United States going for Sports Adminstration. But I also LOVE TO draw in my free time!

INTERESTS:

I am a HUGE sports junkie. Especially with the CFP race heating up. I’m still bummed my teams aren’t doing so well, especially after what tomfoolery just happened with the Phillies last night, and Penn State falling to winless UCLA. AND the Eagles losing to South Park’s own Broncos, and the Giants. Not to mention, my own college’s football team is one of the worst in the division.

I’m also a big fan of cartoons. My biggest picks are Garfield, Looney Tunes, Hanna-Barbera, The Simpsons, Top Cat, and of course, SOUTH PARK! I get most of my humor from these shows. I just got started watching the old 60s cartoon, Linus the Lionhearted on MeTV Toons, and it’s fucking comedy gold.

I also love the Super Mario franchise. Recently, I’ve been playing Mario Super Sluggers NONSTOP!

I also love musicals, game shows, the Christmas season, Autumn, walks in the evening, and I’m VERY influenced by songs.

The mentioned media and sports above will be referenced A LOT in my comics and art, so catch out for those.

What I’ll be posting:

South Park is the only reason I’m here in the first place. I’ll be posting regular art, comics, and random stuff on this show known for an intentionally horrible art style.

As part of my Headcanon dump. One I want to vastly feature which I never really gotten the chance to talk about.

I headcanon Theresa to be a practical goddess of water. Well not really. In my universe, she’s the successful captain of the South Park High swim/dive team (with many many medals to boot), and a lifeguard at the public pool during the summer!

And with her stubborn personality, she means BUSINESS!!

This is Calvin Molloy. He’s my headcanon name for the background boy with the C Cap, who first appeared in Season 3 and continued to frequently appear in the series despite limited cameos since Season 19 and never spoke.

He’s an AVID baseball fan/geek, Isla’s (my personal ship’s) boyfriend, baritone voiced singer! And more!

I mean really!

It’s finally time! For the greatest week in South Park fandom history…i hope 🥺.

This intro below shows my OC Lawrence the Great (whose on my PFP, and I created when I was ten) making it from Philadelphia (where I live close to) to South Park Colorado! Heavily inspired by the opening scene from Cats Don’t Dance, with the song intact too!

One thing I’ve realized while making South Park fanart is that “lower deck”/background character episodes actually matter a LOT to worldbuilding.

Older shows like Arthur, Hey Arnold, King of the Hill, older Simpsons seasons, Recess, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, and SpongeBob used to do this more often:

random town episodes (which South Park does to at times)

side character focus (which SP USED to do back when Tweek and Craig were just props)

weird one-off stories (Butter’s Very Own Episode, and Pip, are two big examples)

background characters becoming memorable over time (I think you can guess based on your pov 😏)

Nowadays, a lot of fandom culture immediately goes: “WHERE ARE THE MAIN CHARACTERS? MAIN FOUR OR NOBODY!” after one side episode 😭

But I know most of you guys reading this don’t go through that complaint, right? ☺️

But honestly? The side characters are what make the main cast’s world feel alive.

I also think memorable one-off characters matter too. (Like for South Park’s case, there was Damien (outside random cameos), Gregory, Christophe, Estella, etc. but that was all before season 5) And hell, even the Goth Kids have big fanbases!

Some of the best older AND newer shows have random characters who only appear once, but still leave an impression because they add personality and texture to the world.

Not every character needs a huge arc or lore reveal. Sometimes a funny interaction, emotional moment, weird gimmick, or unique design is enough to make a world feel bigger and more alive.

If every episode ONLY focuses on the same 6 or so people, eventually the town starts feeling fake and empty.

That’s why I like giving attention to:

background friend groups

recurring extras

random town events

overlapping relationships

Because when I make SP fanart is supposed to feel like a REAL community, not just a stage where the mains stand around waiting for plot.

And honestly? Some fans (like my followers and others out there) end up LOVING background characters just as much as the mains. Sometimes even more 😄

Ironically, some of the most memorable moments in older cartoons/shows came from the weird side episodes people originally called “filler.”

That texture matters to me a lot as a storyteller and artist making South Park fanart. Which is why I moreso draw the background characters a LOT more often than the characters that everyone draws, because otherwise I’ll have to dig deep to find art of a certain bg I like.
