Mind Your Manners and The Rule of Three

This is not a review, this is just some information you need to know.

Alright all you humans out there. I don’t usually gush. I am not a gusher. You know those candies that have the liquid in the middle, Gushers? Don’t like ‘em. Not for me.

That being said, I was lucky enough to be a part of the process for upcoming @jennamoreci novel, The Savior’s Champion. I have to tell you that I was excited about it from day one. I had read Eve: The Awakening the day it came out, so I already knew what kind of quality I could expect from her new story. At no point was I ever disappointed. I was always excited to answer the questions she would present after reading a chapter, especially the last question which would always be “What are your predictions?” The exception being the last chapter, though. I was a bit sad that it had come to an end. Reading raw chapters was amazing. I guess I should say reading Jenna’s raw chapters, because her “raw” is better than some finished stories I have read before.

I didn’t go into it expecting to try to tear it down and figure out what would happen next. I didn’t analyze every line or scene to try to find the code that would break the plot wide open. I read it to be entertained and hallucinate a great story. I was not prepared for some of the things that happened, and my mind was blown every time.

Now the release of The Savior’s Champion is nearly here, and Jenna has been working her ass off marketing it. She released character pictures and profiles and has been doing TSC Tuesdays. There is so much information she has put out there to get people excited. I am here to tell you that you should be excited.

It. Is. Fantastic.

That is an understatement. It is more than fantastic. It is amazing and emotional and surprising and just *SQUEE*!! (That’s the sound I make when I’m excited) There were even a couple of times where I found my mouth agape as I was reading and then had to remember to close it. Didn’t want any spiders crawling in there.

I don’t like romance stories. I think they’re icky. Kissing? Gross! But… o mai gawd! I could not WAIT to see how the romantic plot would evolve as the story went on. I would think (sometimes out loud) “Are they gonna kiss? When are they gonna kiss? Just fucking kiss! The best part of the romance in TSC is that it feels natural and real. It isn’t forced or cheesy. It’s also healthy. Something that is VERY IPORTANT!

Healthy. Romance. Is. Important! Make a note of that. Memorize it. Put it in your pocket in case you forget.

People. You have to read this book. If you only read one book for enjoyment in your life, you should really take a look at your life and figure out why you don’t like reading, and then read TSC.
