木漏れ日 (n.) — sunlight filtering through the trees. A redirect page based on the UI of Animal Crossing: New Horizons; can be used as a hiatus page, saved url page, or similar.

theme nine: lilac — one-column sidebar theme with an optional header inspired by social media post dashboards. made to commemorate the one-year anniversary of when i started this blog. it’s been a crazy year and i can’t believe how much this blog has grown, so thank you to all of you!

sidebar with a 100px by 100px circular image and up to three custom links

optional header with a search bar, optional header image, and up to seven custom links. header image can be any height and is the same width as whatever post size you choose.

posts sizes: 400px, 450px, 500px, 540px.

option to show or hide captions, show tags or tags on click, optional post dropdown menu with extra post info.

options include: post margin, photoset gutter, drop shadows, rounded post and photo corners.

first npf photoset in a post will be converted to a regular photoset, thanks to this script by annasthms and codematurgy’s npf photoset script.

responsive for both desktop and mobile devices.

notes: 

tumblr’s customize page is very buggy and when you first install the theme, you have to toggle the options on and off to get them to work properly. if something doesn’t look right or the post captions disappear, save and exit because 99% of the time it will look fine on your blog.

icons are from Feather Icons and if you want to change them, go to the site, find the name of the icon you want, and enter it in the space in the customization panel.

THEME MATRONA preview / download / alternative

TLDR; instead of typing +, use the ASCII Encoding Reference %2B.

Brief: on Tumblr, when you want to browse a tag or search a keyword on someone’s blog, the space key in the address bar can also be registered by the following symbols:

+ (e.g. /tagged/sample+tag)

- (e.g. /tagged/sample-tag)

%20 (e.g. /tagged/sample%20tag)

So if you have a tag that has + in it, take lgbtq+ as an example; if you type that in, it will confuse the search system and will not take you to the lgbtq+ tag.

So to browse a tag with a + in it, use the ASCII Encoding Reference %2B instead, so rather than:

https://tumblr.com/tagged/lgbtq+

The address will become the following:

https://tumblr.com/tagged/lgbtq%2B

Regarding the basic info and skills sections, make sure not to go beyond the heights shown in the preview, otherwise it may get cut off. The about section will convert into a scroll-able section so worry too much about line limits though it may look odd on the mobile version.

theme 008 : preview a / preview b / code

just a heads up: preview a (aka the spooky/halloween version) contains the nightmare before christmas imagery and preview b (normal version) contains nge imagery. I made sure not to include possibly triggering content, so both previews should be safe to look at :)

also, this is my entry for coding cabin’s thriller themes & creepy codes challenge!

features : “halloween mode” can be toggled on and off, up to 4 custom links, choose between 4 different fonts and 2 sidebar styles, post info on hover. “blog title” and “description decor” are automatically hidden in the “minimal” sidebar version and cannot be made visible :)
