Clearly In Focus Photography

Truth is, having a second shooter on a wedding is essential. They are able to get shots that are sometimes overlooked by the primary photographer because they are focused on getting the pictures that you want. 

I've shot as Adrienne's second shooter many times, and as a veteran second shooter, I can't tell brides enough how important it is to have one. We get the sneaky shots, the hidden ones, the obvious ones...sometimes we even get the ones that no one even thinks about. At one wedding when everyone was focused on the bride and groom, I was busy taking pictures of the flower girl and the ring bearer who were playing patty cake in the front row pew. 

During times like in the pictures above, we can sometimes capture moments that are often missed. Chances are, had she not had a second shooter with her, Adrienne would not have been able to have gotten that second shot and you would have never even thought to have gone back and gotten it.

I don't know much about this, but I will tell you this...brides most definitely consider an after the wedding shoot in their dress and head pieces because WOW.

Make sure you and your new husband steal some moments away from everyone after the "I do!" 

Doing your own decorations can save you a lot of time and money. Not only can you be 100% sure that you are getting exactly what it is that you want, you can get it at 100% of the cost that you want. 

Christmas lights and Christmas bulbs are always cheaper right after the holidays so shopping for them then will save you some cash big time. Getting your own fresh flowers from a wholesaler or a grocery store can cut costs, and getting your own candles and tea lights too. 

This blogger has a thing for mosaics...and in these pictures, the blue mosaic lanterns are simply breathtaking. The color fits a beach wedding perfectly and having them out in the sunlight will let each piece of glass capture the light which means you will get little reflections off of it and can you imagine the colors that will create? Beautiful on those white tablecloths.

The second picture, however, is my favorite. It's almost as if the mosaic lantern is waiting for dusk when someone can come by and light the oil inside of it before taking it with them as they go for a walk along the worn path to the beach for a romantic evening stroll. 

This is why having a wedding photographer there for a few hours before the wedding to capture details of your wedding is so important. It allows them to capture little details like this that you can show people and have them blown away at the little things that you spent months agonizing over...and for others to look at and think up their own little stories and memories to them.

If you are doing a beach wedding, and are having table assignments, consider having your assignment cards rest in sand like this couple did here. The seashells held each card up so it could be easily read and it was nestled away in a little sandbox, and the shell works perfectly as a little favor as well! Each of your guests gets a chance to take a piece of the beach home with them!

Thousands and thousands of twinkle lights made the inside of this barn like reception location look like the night sky which was perfect for what the couple wanted. The soft light made the room glow, and gave everyone a cozy feeling. 

Who says diamonds are the ONLY girls best friend? The pearls shown here look fantastic along side that rocking engagement ring, don't you think? This blogger sure thinks so! And the varying sizes gives it a fun little perk to the style. 

Just because you are wearing rhinestones on your dress and a diamond on your finger doesn't mean that you have to rule out the other precious stones and pearls as jewelry options. Mixing and matching seems to be the newest big thing, and as you can see here, looks elegant and classy...and even a little funky.

Flowers are a huge part of the wedding planning process, and picking out your colors to go along with that design that you want is critical. Here, the yellow and purple have a chance to really pop while the muted greens give a good dimension and background element. The palms that spread out from the bouquet give it a beachy, tropical feel as well.

Pair it with a fun and flirty dress and you are ready for a casual event filled with tropical breezes, iced boat drinks, and glittering night skies filled with romantic whispers and flash bulbs as you dance the night away with your dream guy!

Tired Feet?

Having a beach wedding? This is a great idea for your guests who want to slip out of their shoes and into something more comfortable to walk in when they try to walk over that sand to your ceremony site, or maybe just to get comfortable. You know how achy those heels can get! 

At this beach wedding, the couple had a basket of flip flops in random sizes and designs tied together with ribbon for guests to pick from! You can do this too for pretty cheap. Just keep an eye out for stores like Old Navy to have sales on their flip flops...Old Navy is known to have theirs 2 for $5 on a pretty regular basis. Walmart, Target, and Ross are other stores you can check out.

First, I love the rings. Second, I love the blue feathers. Third, I love how the feathers sparkle like the rings do.

How amazing is this thing!? I don't know about you, but I'm in LOVE with this thing!! It's so cute, and it could be a fantastic idea for a favor! Imagine, pick out a few of your favorite flavors, create a fun tag that says something creative about you and your dream guy, and then have one waiting at each place setting for your guests!

If you want to do it on a smaller scale, this could be a great idea for your bridesmaids, or perhaps something you could give as thank yous for your guests at the bridal shower? The possibilities are endless...and this blogger is getting a serious sweet tooth!

The back of this wedding dress is almost as beautiful as the snow on the ground and the sunset in the background. The corseted back that goes down to just past the hips keeps the dress fitted to where the skirt flares out and allows you to enjoy the form fit to show off your figure but also gives you the full skirt that every girl enjoys to play with. 

And having a chance to have your picture taken in the pristine snow of Alaska at sunset? Who wouldn't be thrilled? 

The simple chignon with the rhinestone hair comb (which this blogger is totally envious of) makes her hair look simple and gives her dress a chance to stand out, but also allows it to tie in given that it also has rhinestones all over it. Elegant and modern, all in one.

This hopeless romantic might be geeking out a little big over this picture. How sweet!!! This couple is so in love that it takes my breath away. 

A beautiful bride, a dashing groom, a perfect beach sunset, a romantic kiss...

Yvonne was a perfect model for this dress. She's such a classic beauty and the dress screams vintage classic. Shooting in the courtyard of the Wine Cellar helped give the vibe of old Italy as well.

Picking your venue helps bring out the theme and the vibe you want your guests to feel and experience. In this photo, we wanted to portray how easy it was to take you to a place that was significantly far away from Downtown Jacksonville. 

While Adrienne was up in Alaska, she couldn't wait to do some shooting in the snow at sunset and how fabulous did these images come out? The images are simply breath taking. The model is beautiful - and brave to be taking on that cold! - and looks like a snow queen with those colors and mountains in the background. The jewelry she wears sparkles just like the snow does and she simply glows.

Picking out your wedding dress is such an important part of your day, and you want to make sure that you are picking out a dress that fits your style and your personality. The dress shown here has a vintage style that makes Yvonne look like she stepped right off the train back in Italy and is waiting to see if her future husband to be will be coming toward her as she waits under the grape vines. 

The off the shoulder look accents her slender frame, and the lace and organza overlay gives the dress a sweet, innocent look. The accent flower by her hand is a playful accent that is modern and brings the dress to the present. Keeping with the simple look, Yvonne has a simply half up style, and simple earrings to complete her ensemble, looking on as she waits to see if her dream come true walks through the doors off camera to greet her!
