Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Nothing has happened.

acab because when I was 5 I watched my mum get groped 'pat down' by police officers on the way to school.
acab because I knew a black female cop who got fired the second she tried speaking out against the system.
acab because the uk is not innocent and neither is canada - this isn't an american problem.
acab because I saw how indian cops beat homeless people with sticks, harass migrant workers and students - this isn't a western problem.
acab because if we can't even trust fictional cops to be good and fair, how the hell do you expect us to trust cops in real life.
acab because in 2014 Eric Garner's last words while being choked by a police officer were 'i can't breathe.'
acab because in 2020 George Floyd's last words while having his windpipe crushed by a police offer were 'i can't breathe.'
acab because peaceful protesters are sprayed with tear gas for no reason.
acab because cops are planted amongst protesters to start some sort of violent reaction so the government can blame it on the protesters.
acab because the government supports police brutality and doesn't give two shits about people who were killed by cops.
acab because cops are only put on trial when there's so much pressure from the public, it can't be ignored.
acab because cops are never given the sentence they deserve and even then it's usually cut short if they're white.
acab because Mohammed Noor, a black cop, got 12.5 years in prison for accidentally shooting a woman but George Floyd's murderer, a white cop, is only getting 2-5 years under third degree murder.
acab because there was no tear gas when white people were protesting lockdown without masks but with guns but there was tear gas when black people were protesting the death of their brother at the hands of a cop.
so yeah, acab.
acab because the cops used the funeral of my 17 year old cousin as an excuse to raid and round up the BLM members who showed up to support my family and grieve him
acab because of how afraid my mother is when my brother’s busted car has a headlight out, forbidding him to go out at night in case he gets pulled over
acab because when my aunty had an intruder in her house my dad couldn’t rush over to hers right away, to the house of his sister, because we all knew if he got there before the cops they’d think he was the intruder
acab because I have lived a sheltered life and god knows how much my family hasn’t told me about their experiences with cops
acab because my fear of being killed when I get pulled over has kept me from driving
acab because my best friend has to call me at night when he walks home in his own neighborhood
acab because my father was arrested for his culture and given 5 years when a white man would have only had to serve 2
acab because cops have used the f-slur on us while being recorded and even more times when they’re not being recorded
acab because officers are hiding badge numbers and turning off body cams
acab because our government and authority system is corrupt
