This list of pre existing conditions you can be denied health insurance coverage for literally includes almost everyone in this country and is a big mood lmao
This is horrible and depressing but acne being considered a “pre-existing condition” just made me laugh so hard
As I read this list my conclusion is… basically we all supposed to die … Noted
idk if this is the same thing and idk how it works but I have Obamacare and they rejected my acne medication prescription

My thoughts while in the library reading about plastics-msg me if u have more insight
I’m worried about going in to my plastics course next semester without enough knowledge of artists who use plastics/ work in the medium… I feel the same way about my ceramics course. I’m afraid I will waste the class learning what I already should have known, I should have a base of knowledge. Yes it is fine for other people to come in to a class not knowing anything because yes you are there to learn, but it would be lazy of me and I need to take full advantage of the class so I need to already know so much. Also I feel like the class will only be learning the technical aspects of learning how to use it and not any info, but I will also have a sculpture history class that I will try to take full advantage of. Anyway I don’t feel like it is enough to just be “interested” or “into” plastic as a material just because I like it (its history, uses, capabilities conceptually and it’s looks) and but I do feel like having the interest is a good base but it’s not enough to have an interest in something without knowledge of it because I feel like for me I need to take in everything before I put anything out and it may also be disrespectful to the material and its history? But also fuck that I can do whatever I want? But like why am I into it if I don’t know so much about it? I’m worried that if I’m not seeking out all the info on it than what’s the point of using it that would be blind like also my exploration of the material by me actually using it is limited by my access to it Also I just wanna see everything that has been done so I can push it past that and I don’t want to be repeating history if i don’t be having to. By that I mean I have to learn and take in other people’s uses of it and take that in as my education instead of starting at square one when history and past artists have already done that. Maybe this is all stupid bc everyone else already thought about this and your reading it and you like…duh!!! But I’m still just trying to learn and get smart :/ Anyway if you have any more insight on this (not just about this specific material-but about any medium or any way of approaching a class eyc. Lmk what u think!!!

Some of y'all might think that this is stuff I should already know but I'm reading to learn! Posting so I can read again bc I still don't fully get it but I'm trying to learn
And yet I'm sitting here thinking instead of reading and wasting time I could be learning...but maybe not bc I'm still thinking which is exploring something so I could be learning something...?
Carolyn Kriegman, neckpiece, 8x 14". The rounded center forms are colored acrylic; each shape acts as a lens.

like what’s the point of seeing something and thinking “that’s cool” if you don’t try to learn everything about it and it’s history and possibilities I feel that about everything from architecture to garbage… like I have to learn everything about something before I can give an opinion on it…?? Maybe???
