      “A babe means a babe! Y’know, a beauty, a Honey… Uh, aren’t you on—?” pausing for a second, he noticed the other wasn’t feigning innocence, but that he simply wasn’t understanding what those words were. Not mention…

      That voice wasn’t the most masculine, yet it sounded more like a man’s.

     "A... Honey?" 

         The more time he spent in this city the stranger the inhabitants became. Subaru was certain now that a vampire would not be the oddest thing these streets had seen. 

This one carried the scent of death on him. But much like the male, he wasn’t truly dead. He was something else entirely. Not human, but not spirit. Doumeki wasn’t keen on letting anyone into the shop who could be dangerous…

Despite the scent that came off this one, he didn’t have a dark aura around him. If anything he seemed almost pure. It was a curious contradiction.

"Huh?" 

     The emerald eyed vampire stared unblinking at the other male. He took a moment to actually sniff the air, trying to determine what he was dealing with, but could not put his nose on it. 

"I have come to see the owner." He stated flatly. "Although, it would seem that this shop has changed owners since last I was here." His eyes turned back to the shop, staring at it intently. She must have... Mm.  He shook his head before returning his full attention to the stranger.

16: Upside-Down Kiss

"Are you sure you don’t need more…?"

The vampire sat on the floor in front of the sofa on which a man was lying. This man, Rokujo Chikage, had various bandages on his body and face, clean and new, that covered much of his injuries. Despite the worried gaze of the visitor, he didn’t seem to be in pain - and even smiled.

"I’m fine with this."

Subaru sighed, standing up. “Even if you say that, I’ll change the bandages from your arm” and so he went to the table to prepare them. Chikage wasn’t too careful sometimes, and was more adventurous than him. At least he hadn’t been like the other party… For a human, he was very strong.

He was returning when Chikage, with some difficulty stretched his head lying on the arm of the couch, watching the other coming upside down; he waved his arm, indicating that wanted him to come closer. Subaru, curious, came and bowed, dropping the objects when he received an unexpected kiss. Tilting his face a bit, the younger held both sides of his face, bringing him closer to his lips, and brown eyes closed with the long, upside down contact.

The foreign quickly stepped back when released, blushing as strong as his breathing.

It hasn’t been so long they knew each other, but both had enough credits at having undergone in somewhat different situations. The first time they met, Chikage fell off his bike by being surprised of the vampire appearing in the middle of the street, as if he came through the air. As if that wasn’t strange enough, the man could feel something unusual on him - he didn’t eat or sleep very much, got nervous by staying on his house for so long (and by so long— one week) and he carried something… Something the redhead couldn’t tell.

He knew nothing about the stranger, and yet let him leave with him. Walk with him. He wanted to show Subaru all of Tokyo, to his friends and girlfriends, everything he could remember at the moment.

The other awekened something he didn’t feel for a long time.

"He’s finally sleeping…"

Chikage sat against the wall, staring at the one sleeping deeply on his futon. The more he eyed him, the more he looked like a… Some… Some kind of teenager girl, having a really good dream - if that even made sense. Right now, Subaru wasn’t worried about his so famous brother, or about the other guy— That Rokujo didn’t even remember. His olive eyes were lightly shut, breath slow and smooth, body paralyzed.

And he didn’t know exactly why he did that - why approached the other so much, keeping his body leaning on only one arm to reach his lips. And stopped. Blinked. Thought for a few seconds.

His body just moved against his will.

And gently placed a kiss on his forehead, wishing him a good rest.
