Forever Improving

Wow it's been awhile since I have been on tumblr, with all the craziness of school and what not. I feel like I only ever come on here to cheer myself up when im troubled by something, that being my relationship with Brandon this time. Don't get me wrong, our relationship is going great. As happy as ever. The thing troubling me has to do with the fact that there are certain people that I feel like are hard core judging our relationship. They judge us for being close. They judge us for spending a lot of time together. They claim that we are so dependent on each other, as if they know every detail of our private relationship. And to address this (in my own personal confinement of tumblr) WE ARE HAPPY! So what if we spend a lot of time together?!? That's cause he is my best friend and I enjoy spending time with him. That doesn't mean that we are incapable of doing anything without each other. That doesnt mean we are wasting our lives away being so indulged with each other. If anything he inspires me, and I inspire him. He brings the best out of me, always encouraging me when I feel down. And likewise I help him grow, pushing him further on his career pathway. But despite all of this, I feel like I am constantly battling those judging our relationship, feeling like I need to prove myself. And it's not even for Brandon!!!! Because this person is so concerned with their opinions of our relationship, I feel pressured to prove that I am good enough for him. Just because my relationship isn't as "independent and free" as theirs, they feels entitled to have strong opinions regarding our relationship and our happiness. It's ironic really. Cause this person not too long ago was really obsessed with the idea that "the only people who know the worth of a relationship, are the two people in it. Outsiders aren't fit to judge them." But now that they are in another relationship, all the sudden they are entitled to make harsh opinions regarding the quality and worth of my relationship. Well I'll have u know, our relationship is healthy. It's free. It's happy. It's everything I could have ever asked for and I don't think anyone, no matter their relation to me or Brandon, has the right to judge us. You don't know and u will never know exactly what goes on in our relationship. So please, don't be hypocritical. Be happy with ur own beautiful relationship. Be so happy that u don't even need to concern Urself with other people's relationships.
