is a Time player essential to a sburb session? should i think about adding one, or is it not necessary?

It isn't bothersome at all! Whilst every session we see does have a Time player, if you're speaking on a technicality, you could have a full session without one! The role of a Time player is to secure the Alpha Timeline, ensuring that all offshoots be pruned before everyone dies, and without a Time player, that issue essentially evolves into the game One Shot, wherein everything has to perfect the first time over, no take backs. Basically, the Time player controls the difficulty, and without them, you're on hard mode.

- Heir of Life

- Mage of Space

- Rogue of Rage

- Seer of Hope

...how screwed is this session

The first thing that strikes out at me is a lack of a Time player, meaning that you only have one shot, so to speak, with no one capable of messing with time to ensure none of you get doomed. The Seer of Hope *could* potentially use their seer visions to help out, but I'm not too sure on that. The Rogue of Rage is the definition of spreading bad vibes, but! They can also be spreading the truth, which Rage also encompasses. The Mage will be on regular degular frog duties, and as Mages have knowledge on their Aspect, this should be at least a little easy. The Heir of Life will probably be stuck as the heal mule throughout the session, and the Prince of Doom will be there to destroy all of the excess inevitability going around.

A Knight of Breath fights for freedom, a Page of Light preserves victory, and an Heir of Blood inherits bonds and promises.

Overall, these guys seem like that classic paragon group of freedom fighters, although you have to note that for the session to require a Knight and Page, those Aspects must be in short supply, so they might start out in a bad place.

A Mage of Void is one who experiences and understands nothingness, secrets, and the obscured.

Theyll probably be a bit of a confusing person, and I wouldnt be surprised if their session was a confusing one as well.

If I were to guess powers, I'd probably bet on them knowing what won't happen and what isn't true, ie; they can't tell you who wins in a fight, they only know who loses.

A Knight of Heart is one that fights for identity and self. The good thing is that we have three Knights and three Heart-bound, so we can use these guys to approximate something, although you must remember that YMMV on this, as Classpect does not equal personhood.

Looking at the Knights, we get Dave, Karkat, and Latula, and we can see right off the bat that they tend to have some self-confidence issues, and they often have issues with their own Aspect, like Latula having brain damage, and Karkat feeling mocked by his own blood. They also seem to cover up these issues with a can-do attitude.

Meanwhile, with Heart, we do admitedly have less basis on our claims, as Nepeta and Meulin aren't really all that important to the story, we can tell that Heart players often think a lot about relationships, and they often have trouble with their relationships, like Kurloz controlling Meulin, Nepeta having unrequited feelings, and all the bullshit DirkJake went through. They also tend to be very emotional.

Important thing to remember- Classpect doesn't always equal obvious usage. If you remember back before they even knew the trolls were a thing, Jade was the one using visions to benefit the team, and Rose's Seer of Light abilities weren't expanded upon until she entered her spot in the medium and was able to begin to dip her toes into everything.

So, no two sessions with a Prince of Space will be the same, because each player needs to start their stuff at the right time, and if they don't you risk starting a Doomed Timeline.

All of that was just preamble to say that no ones the same and YMMV.

The powers, meanwhile, are very interesting to me!

My gut says that the session- or at least the planet they got stuck on- has too much of itself, or maybe theyre in a massive server chain and have to destroy a couple of the hundred lands they have lying around!

A Theif of Space is one who steals Space to give to themself.

During the start of their session, theyd probably have very little Space for themself, and theyd have to steal it from, most likely, their other players.
