I do think it’s important for those of us on the low-support-needs end of the autism spectrum to be cognizant of what the real threat to us is from RFK Jr and who is the real target of his fearmongering, and avoid language that throws high-support autistics under the bus… but he is doing stuff like this that is legitimately concerning to everyone with a diagnosis! wtf

Stop just asking "is it normal?" and start asking "is it harming anyone?" Lots of harmful things are normalized in this society and lots of things considered weird or rare are completely harmless. Whether something is considered normal or common shouldn't be the deciding factor in whether it's okay

Like a lot of disabled and neurodivergent and mentally ill ways of living and expressing yourself are both not normal and not harming anyone and it's the last part we should focus our attention on

don’t be so hard on yourself. there will be days when you need a break. be mindful of your needs and respect your physical/mental limits.

not only testosterone gel has been recalled - if you click on the link above, you’ll see that there are a lot of other medications affected, ranging from ibuprofen to thyroid medication to psych meds and a whole bunch in between. i’d say usamericans who use ANY medication should check this list just to be safe
