“Hmm, you’re right, that is a little more casual. I’ll put that down as first place.”

“Honestly, I don’t think you’ll ever catch me just hanging with my Dad for a weekend.”

Ronnie took a step forward, pushing his sword forward toward her.

Clary used her ferrokinesis to bend his sword to avoid it from hitting her. “Is that all you got, Pearson? Try to use metal against a ferrokinetic?”

Ronnie lifted his sword and got into position, “Come at me then.”

Clary threw a Chinese Ring Dagger at him, narrowly missing his ear, on propose. She smirked, unsheathed another dagger. “It’s on, Pearson.”

“Come now, Clary, I’m not back five minutes and you’re already breaking my heart,” Oliver teased, in particularly good humour today, and handed her a cigarette, “You’ll always be my little sister for the record.”

“Well yeah, scientifically I’ll be your little sister, because I’m younger than you, but it’s improbable that I’ll be little.”

“Yeah uh– not sure I follow,” Dante admitted, looking to his sister with a mildly puzzled expression.

“These holes, were made by rocks, because I sent them a little too fast through the target because Nate was pissing me off.”

“Of course it is, we’re demigods. What could be more casual than spending the weekend at my Dad’s palace?” 

“Probably a monster attack,” Clary replied, smirking slightly.

“Maybe we should do that now? I think he’s napping.”

“I’m going to take you up on that, Freestone.”

“Doesn’t mean you’re not still my little sister.”

“Please, I was never your little sister,” she replied. She wasn’t wrong. She has always been a spitfire and tough as nails, hard to get through to. There wasn’t ever really a gentle side to Clary. “Plus, you’re only five years older than me.”

“I will be saying it in twenty minutes.”

“Well, enough talking Pearson, let’s get on with sparring already.”

“Maybe we should take a trip to my Dad’s kingdom instead,” Charlotte said, speaking about it casually as if it was like a day trip to the mall.

“Yes, because that’s just super casual,” she replied.

Ronnie snorted, “I don’t lose, babe.”

“Hmm, trying saying that again in like twenty minutes,” she replied.

“Since when do you smoke, little sister?” Oliver asked, “I’ve been busy. Trying to live as close to a mortal life as I can as a son of one of the Big Three.”

“Hmm, a few years?” Clary replied. “I’m not so little anymore, Oliver.”

“That is absolutely how I like to spend my time,” Harmony said, “He can scare so easy sometimes.”

“It’s so fun, honestly.”

“What?” Oliver asked, “You suddenly not allowed to smoke here anymore?”

“Not unless you want to share,” she teased her brother. “And maybe if you had iris messaged more.”

Harmony stepped forward, “I suppose that depends on the person doesn’t it?”

“Oh come on, cousin, I wouldn’t ever try to scare you off,” Clary replied. “It’s much more entertaining to try and scare off Nate.”

“You know, I’d even be happy with the cold at this point. That would be better than this,” She paused, “I’ve never been to the Underworld but I’m sure this weather and the heat down there are very similar.” 

Clary shrugged. “I guess, but I don’t go to the underworld very often.”

“Gooding,” Ronnie said, greeting the other as she entered the arena with a bright smile, “To what do I owe the pleasure of your company? Sparring?”
