Goldfinch in a Golden Field 

For the last 6 weeks I have been slowly working on this mural for my dear friends Anna and Mark 💙 I designed the digital mock-up at the end of May, and then started painting June 7th. Since June 14th my life has felt truly in shambles, and not only was this commission very well-timed for finances, but also it provided a safe space for my mind. I’ve been friends with Anna and Mark since 2011, and they are sublime people. When they asked me to add this mural to their new house, in the room for their expected baby, I was nervous - I’d only ever painted one mural before. Driving to their new house every other day and chipping away at this, and getting to spend more time with my friends, was all extremely beneficial in keeping my mental health up. I am incredibly proud of this mural, so grateful for my friends for trusting me with it, and impatiently excited to meet their kid 🥰
