Graffiti from underneath Marsh Mills flyover
Monday 13th February 2017 - Saltram Park (9 miles)
It's half-term and so me and Carlton had his step-children with us today! We forewarned them that we were planning on walking approx 10 miles and they were excited (yesterday), needless to say, there were a few grumps along the way with tummy aches, sore feet, phones getting dropped and the occasional strop. All in all though it was a lovely day. The clan met me at home and we walked from where I live to Saltram (approximately 2 miles away). Fuelling everyone with a cheeky McDonalds we set off under Marsh Mills flyover. This area is excellent for urban shots of the flyover itself, the train line, bridges and graffiti (shots to follow). Onward to Saltram Park itself. It was quite an overcast day but, you know what? Evidence of Spring was EVERYWHERE! The snowdrops were out in force, like a carpet in some places, the chill in the air seems to be disappearing too.

Wednesday 8th February 2017 - Totnes
Today was about spending time with friends. An afternoon spent rummaging through charity shops, drinking coffee, chatting and just being together. Managed to unearth a few bargains. I took my camera with me and took a few shots (one of which received almost 90 likes on Instagram, although I'm not sure why?) although I found the day didn't present many photographic opportunities. Maybe I wasn't I'm the right frame of mind...
My favourite photo of the day
Babbacombe Model Village
Saturday 4th February 2017 - Babbacombe & Torquay
I have been stuck in the house, since Wednesday, with a cold/virus and have slowly started to go stir crazy. Mother came to the rescue today and took me out for a drive in the car. Trying to think of somewhere different for me to take photos, she took me to Babbacombe Model Village. I've never visited before and was found myself wondering how many hours had gone into the teeny tiny displays there. Pictures to follow. We went out for tea in the evening, in Torquay. I managed to get some gloomy, rainy photos after we had eaten some food. Unfortunately getting out didn't make me feel any better, in actual fact, I felt exhausted. Hopefully next week will be a more active week.

Tavistock Church
Wednesday 1st February - Tavistock
The weather has been gloomy, cold and rainy this week. We headed to Tavistock today to check out the architecture and the market. Using the shops to duck and cover from the rain. I only took one photo today, of the church. Whilst out and about I was struck with the feeling that one of those winter virus' was creeping it's way into my body. After a short, 3 mile, walk we headed home. Needless to say a few days later I am full of cold and have been feeling quite rotten. I have a lot of making up to do when I'm feeling well. I'm having photo snapping withdrawal!!! 🤧
Stunning sky!

Hay Tor
Wednesday 25th January 2017 - Hay Tor
The weather has been glorious lately, another day where the sun was shining and the sky was the most beautiful shade of blue with lots of fluffy white clouds. Great weather for photographs!! We scaled Hay Tor and snapped the magnificent views from the top. We then walked down to the old abandoned quarry. Because it was such a bright day I could put my exposure and AF settings into practise and, once again, came away happy with the results!
