For my New Year’s resolution I had more concepts of resolutions to follow, which are the following:

1. Be productive in whatever I am focused on

2. Be more whimsical by romanticizing life and being cringe (to be cringe is to be free)

3. Be more loving towards both myself and my loved ones

The first two resolutions I may write about in another post, but I wanted to talk about the last one today.

I wanted to start expressing my appreciation, thoughts, feelings, etc. more outwardly. So I decided to write letters to my friends. I think this is a good practice to start both to work through your thoughts and emotions, but also to show appreciation to whomever you want to give the letter to! I won’t go into details about what exactly I wrote since they are long and personal and not formally written, but the point in the letter is to write whatever comes to mind. Write about your favorite memories, your least favorite ones, when they helped you through something, what makes them so special to you, anything. and. everything.

Text it to them, write it on paper and send it in the mail, write it into a song and serenade them with your guitar, the possibilities are endless my friends. This year is about love and good vibes.

Even if your year hasn’t started off the greatest (mine hasn’t either we’re in this together), try and make the most of it. Let the people in your life know how special they are ♡
