hot take: elsa gardner’s character is one of the best written characters i’ve ever seen. all of her flaws & mistakes are so extremely human and realistic. she’s done bad shit but she loves and lives for her family. the show, just like with all main characters, does such a good job of laying out her thought process and emotions and the actions that follow. unlike a lot of parents, unlike doug (who i also love don’t get me wrong) for a very long time, she’s TRYING and i don’t believe she will ever stop trying because she loves her kids so damn much. in conclusion, stop giving so much hate to a suburban mom who’s had to give up a large part of her life to ensure the well being of those closest to her
