We decided to revamp the entire Cog In the Machine entirely. We realized things are very confusing and in order to get to the actual story so it would take a LOT of work, so we are going to restart the entirely story. And we are planning to change the style of this AU itself a bit just to make it more appealing.

No, this doesn't mean that Cog in the Machine is cancelled — we're just going to make a lot of changes to this AU! However, the character designs are going to stay the same.

Yet the lone Celestial, consumed by jealousy and envy, retaliated by putting a plague upon the Toons—the Blot. The disease destroyed populations, claiming countless lives.

In response to the growing horror, the Celestials stood together once again, setting aside their differences to create a powerful machine built with a single purpose: to cure the Blot and restore what had already begun to rot.

Enraged by this intervention, the angry Celestial shattered the machine into six fragments, scattering them across Inkwell. As the Toons resumed succumbing to the Blot, Toons who soon became known as Stars appeared, tasked with recovering the lost pieces. But soon, the Stars vanished without explanation, and the Blot's victims stopped dying—instead mutating into grotesque, ink-ridden creatures driven by an insatiable hunger for Toon souls.

And that's how we got to where we are now..
