What do you think of the Adam Young scores?

I actually haven’t had a chance to listen to most of it. I listened to most of Apollo 11 and I must admit it is so different from his previous work, which is one reason I’m a fan of Adam Young. He is such a versatile artist. For the Apollo 11 scores, I could see them being in some sort of indie film or abstract film, but not really a mainstream film, but I enjoyed it! Any recommendations on what I should listen to next? What do the rest of you think of the scores? Which one was your favorite?

I’d listen to RMS Titanic next. Melancholy, compared to Apollo 11, but beautifully done. It took me awhile to get into The Spirit of St. Louis but I really like it now.

The Ascent of Everest is okay but I don’t feel a score there. It reminds me more of a Port Blue album (which isn’t a bad thing). Omaha Beach is a tough one to listen to (in a good way). Very gritty and at times, harsh. It really captures the war feeling.

I'll go ahead and do that! I can't wait to hear Ascent of Everest based on your description @mommahootowl because I absolutely love to have Port Blue as background music. I hope it will be an addition to my collection.

Hello Internet! I’m alive. I haven’t posted anything in almost a year and I am truly sorry. Senior year of college, work, and internships, just ate up all of my time and I couldn’t dedicate time to this, but I finally graduated! I will try to post this summer, but I do have a lot of things to do because I am moving to France from the States in September (ahh, I’m so excited!) so I can’t make any promises. If anyone is interested in helping out, just let me know!

I’m surprised that the followers keep on coming despite the inactivity of this blog, but I really appreciate every single one of you <3

Also, I have been so far away from the hoot owl community all this time so I have no idea what has been going on if anyone wants to update me :)
