I would like to ask about #1, #2, #23, and #24 for the Canon list.
1. Was Hordak Horde Primeβs general, and if so, how did that happen?
Weeell, we don't know how the Galactic Horde actually operates, if it has a ranking system at all, if Prime actually allows the clones to express themselves and show their abilities and talents to be granted a higher rank or if he creates different classes of clones, with different knowledge and skills put inside their heads from the get go. I guess I'm leaning more towards the theory of clones being interchangeable, meaning they all have the same capabilities and are not allowed to stay at one position for a long time. So I think Hordak was not a general, but simply a clone who was time to time given more complicated tasks and was allowed to exist close to Prime and feel important. I also enjoy the idea of the early days Hordak trying to explain his role in the Horde to etherians only for them to name him "a general or something" and Hordak simply agreeing and rolling with it
2. What kind of relationship will Hordak and Wrong Hordak have?
I personally believe that Hordak would never be antagonistic towards Wrongie. Will he be annoyed? Totally. But arent Entrapta and Imp also loud energetic and "annoying"? Exactly, so it shouldn't take long for Hordak to get used to him
Will there be jelousy, feelings of insecurity? Yes, but I still cannot see Hordak hating Wrongie or avoding him completely. That's another clone, a victim of Prime just like him, and that's his brother, they should stick together
And for Wrong Hordak, he is going to see Hordak as his hero and someone he should look up to and from whom he should learn about the world. They won't get close for a long time, and there are myriad of reasons why, the main being their "upbringing" and horde clones not knowing how to build natural close relationships with one another, but eventually they'll become good friends
23. Whatβs your favorite characterization of Hordak, Wrong Hordak, Imp, and Horde Prime?
Hordak - I really enjoy when he gets to shine as a capable scientist and show off his knowledge about space and tech, and also when he's written/drawn as an experienced fighter! Oh, and I love when he's described as a gentle protective partner who admires Entrapta and loves her not despite but because of her quirks c:
Wrong Hordak - I always enjoy seeing Wrongie be his goofy, joyful and adorable self X) But it also makes me so so happy when he gets to show his serious side or show his trauma affecting him! Love it when his past as a cult survivor is not forgotten!
Imp - hehe cheeky demon baby. I always expect Imp to be simply funny and cute, but when he's clingy and openly affectionate towards Hordak and Entrapta my heart can't help but explode <3
Horde Prime - give me a sassy diva Prime who enjoys being a bitch and a tyrant and I'll ask for more :P But when he's described as an eldritch horror or shown to be actually creepy and disturbing? Ooooff, i'm SAT
24. Whatβs your least favorite characterization of Hordak, Wrong Hordak, Imp, and Horde Prime?
Hordak - The classic "he'll be an abusive partner to Entrapta" takes are one of the worst. Also I hate when he's described as the single cause for everyone's suffering and a villain worse than Prime, as if he's the only memeber of the Evil Horde and the rest of the soldiers are poor brainwashed babies he personally stolen from their families (as if there are no adults who joined the Horde willingly) Like sure, Hordak is a bad guy, but some ppl really be making stuff up to make him seem even more evil and iredeemable
Oh, and I reeeally don't like it when Hordak is shown as incompetent and stupid and is used as our protags punching bag
Wrong Hordak - I can't help but cringe when he's treated as an actual baby and is infantilized. As a joke - I get it, he's a baby boy, only one day old. But when it's the only characterization he gets... now we have a problem
Imp - Imp is perefect. No one is capable of ruining Imp
Horde Prime - Really don't like it when he gets claimed as every type of bigot ever. Like he's rasist, homophobic, transphobic, misogynist - come on, this guy doesn't caaare, he's equally xenophobic towards anyone who's not him t-t
Another thing I find hard to enjoy is when he's redused to a plot device and a torture machine for the other characters angst. I didn't like it in canon and I don't like it in fanworks. Like, when he's only in the scene to give trauma. One thing is being a villain who fights against the portagonists and traumatizes them in the process, the other is when he's throwing everybody in that damn pool for no reason and does literally nothing else
I know it may seem like i'm contradicting myself, giving what i said in the previous take, but I swear HP having fun and enjoying being scary and sadistic and him being used only as a tool for easy drama and angst are two different things!
