I’m just imagining Dazai being all clingy one evening, lying down and arms wrapped around Chuuya’s waist as they lay on the couch, Dazai half watching what’s on TV as Chuuya reads a book.
Dazai nuzzles into Chuuya’s stomach and sighs fully content for once where he is.
And Chuuya looks down and he’s suddenly overcome by fondness. He doesn’t mind the (non-violent) touches, he’s even grown used to them by now. Dazai looks so happy with it too, so it’s easy to allow it.
But for a moment, he wonders what it’d be like to give something back. After all, if Dazai likes touching so much, wouldn’t he like to be touched as well.
Dazai senses his staring and glances up. “What’s wrong?”
Chuuya huffs. “Nothin’.” And then he reaches up and pats Dazai’s head.
He leaves his hand atop Dazai’s head, but turns his eyes back to his book in the other, so he doesn’t see Dazai’s reaction.
Chuuya’s hand is slightly rough, calluses from training and scars, like the one from the fight with Rimbaud, marring it despite them usually being covered. He uses just a bit to much force in his pats, not able to gauge the strength he’s put behind the gesture. Chuuya is not one familiar with being gentle, always a touch of harshness even at his most soft.
And he’s clearly trying to return what Dazai’s given him.
Dazai’s face erupts in red as his brain shuts down at the touch.
