You were tired from the day out that your family had today. You had all gone to the park, gotten ice cream, gotten home and watched a movie. Everyone was nodding off so you nudged Zabdiel’s leg to start getting ready for bed.

You were tired but you couldn’t sleep. You laid on your side, with Zabdiel spooning you from behind. His hand did the one thing that he had been doing for years and was now second nature to him. You could hear his light snores in your ear, constant. His large hand underneath your baggy shirt, resting right in the valley of your breasts. He said that this way he could always feel your heart beat even in his sleep.

The clock on your nightstand read “11:11pm” and instead of making the usual wish, you sent a special thanks into the universe for what you had in life. It was perfect.

You could hear the door to your bedroom creak open and you see a small brunette head make its way to your side of the bed. You moved your body closer to Zabdiel’s as you pulled the covers open. Your baby boy, getting so big at 2 and a half years old, crawled under the covers. His space pajamas drew a chuckle from your lips. They were his favorite.

He faced you with half open eyes, and gave you a sleepy smile. You smiled back as you ran your nails through his scalp, the only way that he could fall asleep. His small hand also found its way up your shirt. He stopped, his hand finding the place that he wanted his hand to be-next to his baby sister. You felt her kick in response to being near to her older brother and you knew that your two kids would have an unshakable bond.

Yep, everything was pretty perfect.
