Memory of the water, oil.

Another old painting, in wich for the first time I tried to paint caustics.

The painting was based on a memory from a vacation in Greece. Imagine:

Premonition, watercolor (background), colored pencils (creatures), collage.

One of my latest works. I was inspired by…primarily the news of recent years and the depressed and anxious mood of humankind, which is acutely felt and visible. And of which I am a part.

The black creature embodies the harbinger of some impending doom. As if we've awakened some cruel ancient god. It hasn't crawled out yet, but it's awake. And everyone feels it. The larvae simply symbolize the accompanying emotions.

The 1970s casual look. This is the fashion equivalent of saying "I just threw this on" while actually spending 45 minutes curating the perfect earth-tone ensemble. The mint green pants with that ornate belt buckle are giving "I bought this at a boutique that only accepts cash and vibes." She's standing in a field because apparently the 70s required all fashion photography to include some connection to nature, even if you're just wearing clothes from Sears.

The foreground says "look at this perfectly sliced coffee cake" while the background whispers "we're having a private conversation and you're not invited." This is the 1960s version of food photography where the cake is the star and the people are just blurry extras who definitely wanted more coffee.
