I'm guessing that, like the Stone Roses movie that I never got to see, this won't make it to cinemas in Sydney (or if it does I'll miss it entirely), Probably for the best, as it would probably bring me to tears, as seeing them here did earlier this year.

One way to stay cool on the blisteringly hot first day of summer is to watch a documentary about one of the coolest bands of the 70s: Big Star. And, so, following that here's a song that always makes me think of a cool summer's night, and is possibly one of the best rock & roll songs ever, in so much as it reminds us all of the tortured brilliance of being young.
