at my feet is an all-black cat with piercing green eyes. as i look closer and see its injured and laying on its side, blood pouring from the wound. i couldn’t just leave the poor thing here, so i scoop the cat into my arms and continue my walk home, hurrying this time. 

 i arrive to my house, grabbing the keys from my back pocket and unlocking the door. i bring the cat to a clean table and leave to my closet, where the medical supplies lay. 

i hurry back to the table and begin to stitch and clean the cats wound. i finish after some time and clean the area up. i observe the cat and see no collar, it must be a stray.

i can’t just dump the cat back on the streets, it might get hurt again. i guess it can stay with me until it heals completely. i scratch its head, and it purrs in content.
